I thought Lin had some moments, but I wouldn't say he's gonna turn this team around or anything. He just needs to keep playing well and improving. I think they wanted to give him a taste of real action and still bring him along at a reasonable pace. I wanted to see him again, but at the same time they probably felt he left with a good feeling about his game and didn't want to push it, knowing the C's would turn up the D, as they always do.

Exactly. People now have moved onto harvard's Jeremy lin as the next Knicks savior lol
I think you are disregarding the iq of fans on this forum if you are saying stuff like that. Douglas has been a liability on the court. Lin had some good minutes in the first half in an intense game. There is a reason the guys getting paid to commentate on the game questioned D'Antoni's decision to bring in the the guy that has been the liability. I don't think anyone on here sees Lin as the savior. I think he is seen as the lesser of two evils at a position where the Knicks have nothing.

JVG would be the last guy to talk about playing guys like Lin. Guys like JVG play vets with a reputation and TD despite playing horrible has experience in these kinds of games. You have to hope he snaps out of it and has a good game. Just last week, Fields was playing like Doo Doo and now he's back. The same for STAT and Melo. This is why MDA is trying to be patient with TD. He's also trying to get Lin going it's a balancing act. You don't wanna lose a player but at the same time you want to protect the team. Still he's shown patience with everyone else and they're playing well now, so...

He did talk about it but I agree he was loyal to his vets and Lin would probably not get those minutes. That doesn't mean he was wrong in what he said.

At this point, lose the guy, his confidence is completely shot anyways, and his backup SG minutes will probably go to Shumpert and JR Smith very soon.

It's also about Lin too. This was a near playoff game and there's no way Lin was ready for that kind of intensity. Dude just got a taste and this is a tough spot to put a kid. His time will come.

A junior varsity basketball coach would have an Amare and Melo team playing at least .500 ball.

JVG actually said that he was surprised MDA put in TD instead of Jeremy Lin. Sounds like he would've put in Lin in the 2nd half.

It's funny cuz TD is the guy that some people around here KILLED D'Antoni for not playing. He was the poster boy for MDA not playing a talented young player. Now no one wants TD to play...

I have been hating on TD for two years. Dude is a knucklehead and just plain sucks. Wish he were on a different team.

I turned the game off after the celts went ahead for the first time towards the end of the game - maybe the last 4-5 minutes.

Our guys were simply gassed at the end - anyone comment on that? I'll admit our bench isn't deep, but MDA has always played guys just a few minutes too many his whole time here, and looking at the minutes guys racked up - and comparing that to the Celts- we were just a little too spent towards the end to close out this game.

Crushing loss, but it will be awful if they lost to the Nets.

Top 5 pick anyone?

True - our guys were tired at the end. 2 nights in a row against strong teams and our starters are playing 35 to 42 minutes in back to backs. Very disappointing loss but we don't have the depth and we don't have the guys who can play MDA system - shoot 3's.

We took only 15 shots from behind the arc. Probably a record low for MDA's team so those who say he doesn't adjust....you are wrong. But we made only 3 shots from 3 pt range = 20% from 3 pt. Ugh! That is where we lost the game. And MDA adjusted by not having the team take many 3 pt shots. Novak is a great 3 pt shooter - 44%+ this year. 42% career so having him in at the end of the game as a third or 4th option was good.

For those who say MDA doesn't coach D - we held the C's to 91 points.
We had 12 steals = awesome
7 blocks = awesome
