2 rebounds for Amare is sad.

because he floats out to the three point line or waits at the top of the key.

Or do much of anything

Players need to be held responsible. Phil Jackson couldn't save this team right now. Coaches get way too much credit when a team wins and too much blame when a team loses. Take Jordan and Kobe off of Phil Jackson's rosters and how many Championships do you think he wins. Joe Shmoe could've coached those Bulls teams to Championships.

have you seen him? he takes off his shirt in practice all the time. he's definitely in shape. i think that extra 20lbs of muscle he put on might be slowing him down A LOT. that and the back might still be bugging him. the added muscle was to compensate for the back. he strengthened his core, but he may have weighed himself down too much.

Being ripped doesn't equal being in shape. His basketball feel is way off. He'll get better.

that's what i've been saying about him not looking right. he seems a step slow and out of it. i've been wondering if it's the back.

agreed, but ... even when he gets it in the post, it is too high. And, who is calling the plays or is it each man for himself?

well, apparently we're not allowed to blame d'antoni's Xs and Os for anything. it's all on the jims and joes!

Yeah - who the hell even needs a coach. Think of how much money we could save.

That's not the reason and WTF have you been watching? This is 100% about a lack of PG directing the offense and getting the players in their spots. TD stops just after halfcourt and never comes close to penetrating into the lane to breakdown the defense, so everything starts out further than it should. Go back and watch video of the game and take note of where TD stops on every play. He's always far back behind the 3pt line and almost never drives or makes use of picks.

80% of the jims and joes on our team absolutely stink.. so yea, most of the blame falls on them...

With the increased IQ, it woulda been nice to see Lin in non-garbage time no? could not be worse - no need to be so stubborn.

WE ALL AGREE THAT TD SUX

The offense starts too high cuz TD always stops just after halfcourt and this forces the big to come out to set the pick too far out on the floor. Amar'e should be getting the ball no more than 2 steps from the hoop like he did with Nash for years. That's on the PG to make sure that happens. This is mostly a function of HORRID PG play. Neither TD nor Bibby get into the lane regularly enough to setup our frontcourt players or our shooters. THE PENETRATION SETS UP EVERYTHING. That's why the PnR has been so successful for years. If you PG gets into the lane defense has to react and everything else opens up.

He's not a step slow when he throws down does dunks. He's just not doing it enough because he wants to stretch the floor and become a jumpshooter. That and he doesnt have a PG like Nash/Felton getting him easy buckets inside

Yep and he never hits the roll on a Pick and roll...so it's always a wasted pick. Like we miss out on at least 20 easy points off non passes. Fields as a SG doesn't help the vision, creativity & penetration problems either.

disagree. he's gotten a few easy dunks when he's been wide open. he used to blow by guys for dunks or dunk on people. he doesn't have the lift or explosion to dunk on guys now. gasol blocked him twice tonight on what would have been dunks last season.

Actually, I think one of those was McRoberts which should not happen

Fields playing next to TD only compounds the problem. Would be nice to have a SG who can handle the ball a little, penetrate, get to the hoop, lay it in or dish. That is why I hope Shump starts and Fields backs up Melo. TD backs up Shump

I remember Amare always losing the ball last year every time he tried to force to the hoop it in traffic

STAT still has plenty of quickness and explosion, but no one is in their proper spots or getting the ball where they can do damage. When that happens you get off balance attempts at the hoop and guys don't look as impressive. It's really that simple. There's nothing wrong with STAT's quickness or athletic explosion. Sure he's not as ridiculous as he once was, but it's not because he's too heavy now. Dude is in tremendous shape. NO Fat, All muscle. I'm carrying a lot more weight at 46 yrs old but there's enough muscle to allow me to still get up almost as high as I've ever been able too. No way STAT can't jump now cuz of added muscle. This is all about spacing and timing and a lack of good passing to set him up.
