I'm not sure - does Boston understand what "Formidable" means yet?

They're gonna learn what "Kobe Bryant" means.

Boston won 2 out of 3 in Detroit. So much for their inability to win on the road.

That's awesome. Kobe is going to unleash the hell that's within him in these Finals.

Kobe lives for the big moment... he's still the best player in the NBA & i don't even get how that's even debateable to some people.

All my friends are Kobe haters and its F'n annoying how ignorant they can be about this topic. They were all MJ nutriders so I guess they're sour grapes about someone coming close to flirting with his throne.

i don't particularly care for the guy either but i have to respect his talent & his game... i hated MJ w/a passion too but how can you not admire these guys for how they played on the court & the competitive fire they both have?

The talent and game have always been a part of his basketball makeup. The thing I admire most about Kobe is his work ethic and desire to win. Sometimes I feel he wants it more than Jordan ever did.

Kobe is the closest thing to Jordan because of his ridiculous intensity, desire and focus, to go with his obvious physical gifts.

This whole "lakers-Celts" hype thing is so overblown.

Celts are a "teamStarphuch", not much of a rivalry in the last 20 years. Its just a uniform.

Celts Isolations vs Kobe and the Triangle.

Should be interesting. I can't stomach Paul Pierce as an NBA champ so Im rooting for the lakers. Its petty, but its all I got.

You really think there are more iso plays for the Celtics than for Kobe? I think isolation plays are just the basis of the NBA now--nothing specific to the Celts. Pierce is an efficient scorer and he's playing very hard on defense. It's hard not to like him IMO.

So, like, the playoffs are over now, right? Now it's the Finals?

It looks like Pierce's ankle could be dislocated.

He's running around pretty good with a dislocated ankle.

Ray Allen's penetrating too much. I think he thinks he's five years younger and a lot faster than he is. That's just not his game at this point in his career. I don't know if Pierce will be available for game 2. The knee might tighten up a lot.

I was going by the way it looked he did have to be carried off the court like a baby but his adrenaline I'm sure took over. He came back and played huge.

I wonder when players take the Cordisone shot, does it help calm their nerves and help them play better?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
