Quick thought on the Rose thing. I was pissed at the sub too, and it's definitely the main culprit in this loss. At the time Brown made that sub, he was chewing out Curry big time on the bench right after Murphy nailed a 3. The most likely explanation seems to be that Curry was blowing a defensive rotation badly and Brown punished him for it. It was a big factor in the loss, but if this is something that can push Curry to get better, I really don't mind it. Sacrifice a game for a better Eddy Curry? If that was the plan and if it works, I'll roll with it. Hey, we all hate to lose, but we ain't winning a championship this season anyway.

As for the game. Lot of people pissed and frustrated here, but not me. This was actually the first game of the season where I was more encouraged than disappointed. The offense is getting better, and very importantly, we went blow for blow with GS down the stretch rather than crumbling like a deck of cards like we have been lately. Baby steps.

tom - i agree 100% and will voice my observations later but the only question i have is why wasn't frye the one re-inserted? the key play of the game, to me, was the adonal foyle layup. he caught the ball, turned around and made a simple hook layup. the guy guarding him? malik rose. if that was frye, he would've either blocked the shot or fouled him - both would have been better. rose really has no place here.

Something is terribly wrong here. Anybody else would have had a solid rotation down by now. A blind man could see who our best players are.

Brown left and Bird takes that exact team to the Eastern Finals and takes the Super Bulls to 7 games. Brown will force losses on teams to get the power and roster he wants. I'd hoped he was past that and would embrace his "dream" job, but like everything else, it apparently has to be on his terms.


okay Crzy now you have me really worried. I hope Larry gets what he wants and not eric snow and george lynch!

Brown has no right to waste my time or your time by essentially throwing games to teach lessons. Teach in practice.

Amen. I love how anyone can watch these games and blame the players. Channing and Eddy and David Lee weren't on the court, how could it possibly be their fault? The blame rests on the shoulders of the man manipulating the lineup to his ends.

Can't someone in the press mention this?

When I say team, the coach is included. And, well, that was yesterday when another winnable game slipped out of the Knicks' hands. I know its not the players'fault because the coach is having a terrible time figuring out how to win with them. But, man! That was another winnable game! What the heck was Malik Rose doing in the end of the game? Its like Brown and Rose have a secret contract where Brown agrees to play him in the end if Rose just makes us lose! Grrr!!! Frustrating time to be a Knicks fan.

I loved the signing of Brown, and I believe that he will turn this team around and make it a winner, but these games have been too painful to watch because we are in every game and even have a double digit lead but in the end is the same result, a heartbreaking loss...
