Hillary leads the popular vote by roughly 1.2 mil and growing..Trump is heading to an Electoral College blowout...Doesn't this give anyone pause that the majority of the country isn't being represented by the people they voted for??...Shouldn't the other side be concerned if we all truly believe in Democracy. The Electoral college reflects the true votes of the states. Do you want one state determine the outcome of the election because that is what is going to happen. What does a Californian have to do with a New Yorker or a Texan. These three state would garner majority of the attention politicians would cater to these populace state. How does a person from Wyoming or North Dakota get represented. The rule of the election is to get as many electorals as possible Hillary didn't do it and that is why she lost.

I don't want any intolerant liberals or extreme conservatives. I'm for the middle ground that is when our country is at its best.

I can't believe he is comparing a gov election to a Presidential. A governor represents ONE state. President 50 states lol

If it were up to me I would implement the electoral vote into state government elections. Separate them by towns/cities or counties that way individual states aren't misrepresented by flooded democratic cities either.

No, it would be more like saying the Warriors and Cavs only win games because the league set up a system where most of their opponents made shots don't count.

Ok.

LMAO... still thinking Trump is was the better choice? Man some people are in for a rude awakening. If you are white and rich America will indeed be great again.

Maybe but the rich white men have done better economically under Dems than Reps.

Trump is no Dem and no Rep.
He is CHANGE. For good or for bad we are going to find out.
He elected by people who had nothing to lose and were not afraid to challenge the status quo.
This is what Dems and all this predictors failed to realize.
By labeling Trump racist, sexist, and psycho they made it uncomfortable for people to publicly state support for his ticket.
They just went and silently vote for him.
Trump win is Hillary campaign team only achievement.

Yet another example of internet mythology that is now accepted as fact. What credible source verified that "3 million illegal aliens" voted? Think about it, if they're illegal how did they register to vote? And if you're able to count 3 million illegal aliens voted, how were they not stopped since voting locations are monitored by BOTH democratic and republican operatives? It doesn't even make sense, but if you keep repeating the same myth eventually people accept it as fact.

Once again, I can't find a single credible, objective source of this.

How about this: since more than half of the states don't require delegates to vote for a pledged candidate, what if the Trump electors decided to vote for Clinton instead? How would Trump supporters feel? It would be totally legal. Nothing to prevent it from happening other than their conscious. It's how the system is set up. Would they take their own advice and not whine and just accept it? Hmmmmm...this has been an unusual election so far. This election is not finalized YET.

This is the bargaining stage of grief.

I've seen that question a few different places now - can't see a scenario where that's done. Would be crazy though - Obama sitting in the Oval Office realizing he wasted an hour and a half with this man for no reason. The tweets alone would keep the media busy.

But the man has 49% support in this country for some disgusting reason. You think the protests are bad now over the popular vote? Imagine if they results did end flipping. Maybe we just need another civil war already and be done with it.

"Democracy" at it's finest. And none of the Electoral College defenders have bother to answer my question on why we do not apply this same system for electing governors. Give each county electoral votes versus straight popular vote if this system is so great.

Crickets.

Is it still "Democracy" when the true vote totals of the electorate isn't reflected in it's leadership?

US thanks God is NOT a Democracy. US is Republic.
Republic is ruled by the power of elites.
And US is a FEDERAL state not mono-state.
States committed to the united country on specific conditions that they will be represented in central government adequately regardless of population size.
If this going to be changed every State will have a right to reconsider Union membership.
Only referendum in each state can practically accomplish this.
So - I am asking again.
Do you advocating for dissolution of United States based on political and cultural differences between Red and Blue States?

Really??...Where did you get this information??..Anything I can read about??..Begs lots of questions like why didn't the Southern States leave the Union to continue the practice of slavery..
And who determines how many electoral votes are assigned to each state??..Is that a negotiated value??

It is completely understandable that people will always advocate for government which will be good for them personalty and for the group of people they represent culturally. The strength of this country guarantied by political system established in Constitution is that the demands of personalities and population groups will not be satisfied at the expense of any other people and groups.
This order was fought for in Civil War, and in many wars after, and this is what people were always willing to give their life for.
This not going to go away until this country stands on its own. The fact that so many minorities and personalities were able to successfully fight for their rights and achieve equality is self-evident success of this country.
There always will be some who want to take advantage of the system in many ways so the fight is never over.

Right, because you are not too concerned about whether or not all voices are heard, you are concerned about your voice and your party getting their way...And I thought the US Civil War was about slavery..Now you are saying it was about the Constitution???

And your last point..Isn't someone taking advantage of the system when a majority of the country votes for one set of ideals but the opposite set of ideals end up ruling the country???

You keep saying this but I don't get it. Hillary lost the few states that matter by an amount that would be unlikely to change in a recount. Why would she ask for a recount?

I meant if they do a recount, it probably shows she cheated, big time (and still lost). Hence, why I don't think she even will hint at a recount. When you think about it, if the race is really close, no sense in not asking for one, can't "hurt", or can it?

Recounts are set to occur when a state is within 0.5%. That's automatic. Anything larger than that (and the swing states are more like 1.0%) a candidate would only ask if they had clear evidence that a recount would make a difference. I'm not aware of a candidate ever asking for a recount when the swing states were decided by more than 1.0%. Do you have any examples? She'd be breaking precedent and she'd look like a sore loser. She's doing the honorable thing. Rather than asking for a recount, she gave a graceful, genuine concession speech. You'd be criticizing her if she asked for a recount - "What a sore loser!" You'd be criticizing her for any possible action she could take.

Thanks for the information, just learned something. But my vote fraud worries (and links) still stand.

Fraction magic anyone?

Expert of voter fraud in Bev Harris says Hillary tried to steal election but lost. Start at 3:30 mark:: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is5GrQwevhg
Votes were held back in Detroit, Wisconson, Michigan and Milwaukee, PE, and a bit more.
13% of illegals admit they vote, and quite a few were caught this election. http://www.capoliticalreview.com/capoliticalnewsandviews/poll-13-of-illegal-aliens-admit-they-vote/
Soros connected to voting machine in 16 States.
5 or so States are still not releasing the scanned images of the ballots as required by law. (Indiana, Virginia, Washington st., Utah, Kansas)
There is evidence Hillary Stole 5 States but still lost (and yeah, MSM is dying now -The NY Times have issued and apology for their coverage)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrqZvzGZuCo

I welcome a recount but I think there is a reason Clinton hasn't asked for one. Hillary Cheated and still lost.

But my vote fraud worries (and links) still stand.

of course they still stand. Until Drudge removes the headlines you will still worry. You are a hardcore GOP mouthpiece

How you can take what a voting fraud expert says, in Bev Harris, and twist that into a site you disagree with is ingenue and shows how much you know, and more importantly, how little you care.
Worry less about the source and more about the message.

Mainstream Media is dying, we are all witnessing it. And now they are going after "fake news" sites (no linking allowed on Twitter, Facebook etc.) That is how bad things are getting for those in power. The Brexit, now Trump, they are absolutely losing control (and just in the Knick of time. )

I'm not a Republican, though I was a Democrat as a young man, now I'm just an Earthman, no box to put me in, but nice try.

Now Paul Ryan wants EARMARKS to return to Congress..Pork barrel spending returns...They said Congress needs an incentive to make deals..I guess that's why they didn't want to deal with Obama...

Gregg Popovich decries Trump, troublesome appointment of Steve Bannon
Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich continued to express his frustrations with Donald Trump on Wednesday, again discussing the president-elect with reporters and calling the appointment of Steve Bannon as chief strategist “troublesome.”

Popovich was outspoken last week about Trump and the election, and has remained outspoken about America’s political state in wake of the results.

The selection of Bannon, the executive chairman of ultra-conservative and factually questionable Breitbart News, as a presidential advisor has drawn considerable ire. Bannon associates himself with the alt-right, which has been associated with white supremacy, among other stances.

Popovich’s comments on Bannon, Trump’s divisive campaign rhetoric and its implications for minorities were as follows, according to Tim Bontemps of The Washington Post.

“Well, I think is very troublesome to many of us. As I said, it would be great if made some statements to all of the groups he disparaged, to bring us all together, and to allay fears, because there are a lot of fearful people, and for good reason. But rather than doing that, he inflamed it even more with that appointment. It’s kind of ironic.
