In contrast to Rose- I know I've said it before but why does Noah have to bust his ass and play through pain and injury, while Rose gets the year off? The rest of the team must be getting resentful about it. I don't get the double standard in Chicago- either this season was intended to be a write off, in which case keep Rose out, but also don't push the rest of the team to play 40mins and through injuries, or they're still trying to win something in which case why exactly is Rose out?

If I were the insurance people I would dispute paying Roses salary as he was clearly healthy enough to play, he just didn't want to (or the owners didn't want to because they thought they could get some money back by the insurance policy).

I don't know what the big deal is regarding Rose.

Bulls aren't winning anything this year, why risk reaggravating a very serious injury to your franchise player for a 1st round win, rather make sure he's fully healthy and ready to go next year.

BULLS can easily get to a ecf and maybe shock Miami with Rose just as well as the Knicks can. Indy not so much. They can compete but like Denver lack the superstar.

However its to late for Rose to play now. Next yr its gonna be a dog fight. Miami likely getsvthe first seed and the Knicks will have to fight Chicago for the 2. This yr we were able to hold onto the 2 despite 3months of .500 ball. Next yr that wont fly. We have to get out of the gates like we did this yr and im confident we do because Woodson gets the most out of his training camps and dont look back

Wait, Bulls have already advanced two rounds?

Bulls players upset with Rose?

Thibs is ruining his team by playing his players?

1. Series with Nets could be a war and go 7.
2. Got some players happy rose is out, they are playing for contracts and given an opportunity. The big contracts understand the gig, you get paid you play until you can't. Post season.
3. P.J. coaching for his job. He has to get Brooks into the rotation sooner and get his rhythm going. Not sure the players respond. "Crash" wallace lost his shooting touch and that kills the teams offense. As announcers said you can't have 2 guys not shoot on offense. He is going to have to try a Euro at SF!

Interesting series. If Miami is healthy they will destroy Bulls.

Bulls game should be a nice reminder to the Knicks just how important Game 2 is. Game 1 was a feel good victory, but still very easy to lose home court advantage. Memphis almost stole it from LAC too.

CP3 is clutch!

TKF has criticized maybe 3 of the 12 players on the roster. You've got a distorted perception IMO.

I don't get this either. Aside from his Melo hate, which he does not hide, he has been very fair with every evaluation on every Knick player.

Then they had the nerve to try and sell Rose as some Great Humanitarian Cheerleader to the team yesterday during the telecast. Saying how his teammates appreciate him letting them know what he sees on the court and his presence on the bench means so much and how they "Believe and Trust In Derrick Rose"

I'm like please.....CUT IT OUT don't insult me and take me for gullible as a sport purist. Rose is not the only player to have been injured(those more seriously than he) who have done the same and no such stale bill of goods was sold like yesterday. Hey but he had the Powder Blue suit on with the mismatch Rock Canary Karats in his ear...... the camera made sure you caught that. Looks like he needed some Proactiv yesterday

I can't stand players who receive unnecessary due credit to them, or who are over hyped, or who are excused, or who are allowed to run a muck, who are prima donnas...

Rose is in my Top 5 most disliked players

Noah is in my Top 5 most liked players(personally I think his game is ugly but the player he is, is so much more)<-------He is the pure definition of winning you over

Adrian Peterson tears his knee up comes back about 6-8mos later and rushes for over 2000 yrds to an MVP season. Derrick Rose tears his knee up and doesn't play 1 minute of basketball for the whole year, essentially taking 12mos off. Noah is playing with PF where it feels like you're stepping on a knife every time you run and leading his undermanned unhealthy team to a playoff win all guts no glory.....Rose is DISGRACEFUL!

Hasn't he been sitting in one of the skyboxes in Chicago? Could be tongue in cheek - "Gee Derrick, you're sitting on the bench with the team tonight? We appreciate it..."

We are not really privy to whats going on inside his head or his leg.

Peterson on the vikes really set the bar for freak return to form.

Rubio and Shump have returned and typically not really playing all that great. Im not a doc but Maybe in football you don't have to jump as much and the effect is different.

Rubio played OK and his signiture passing got him some notice. Shump's game is athletic and other than being streaky from the outside has not shown much.

The who notion that Rose is being selfish while his teammates are gutting it out is kind of comic. Its not they are getting cut to ribbons by enemy fire! Its freaking basketball. Why so much rendering of opinion?

Heard on the radio this morning that He is getting a lot of free passes that Jay Cutler would never get! Rose has a league MVP and been a great player with a good "humble" cred while Culter is a dick.

If the guy is not mentally willing to risk it and time solidifies the knee then who are we to judge?

We got the same thing going on with Amare. The guy was playing great then pulls up for another surgery. Could he have gutted it out the rest of the season? Or him having 45 millon left on his contract play into it?

Has the bulls used the "returning soon" to sell tickets?

Yep he was "upper echelon" early on in the season...I think even his brother was sitting with him on a few occasions. Now he's on the bench and equivalent to Ghandi or Mandella or MLK.

Oh I forgot about Jay Cutty....he got ripped to shreds for not playing a playoff game 2yrs ago. Good mention only makes what I've been saying valid. I'm not saying Rose would jeopardize his career by taking on the Noah mentality but at least "make an attempt"...he didn't/hasn't even tried.

I can't judge Rose. I can admire Noah for playing thru pain but we talking apples and oranges.

LIke I said, rubio and Shump are not the same. Chicago has a 100mm investment and may not be at all pressuring him. They in the playoffs, have a good shot of advancing, weak bench which inhibits upside, and as we have discussed team has insurance that can pay up to 80%. I have read different amounts.

This is not like Deron williams season long pain or Noah's pain. They can play but at what level they effective. Fans are jumping to conclusions on details we are not privy to.

BTW, Watching Deron last nite was painful for all! Seeing PJ's job slipping away with each missed shot.

Lots of Hoop left in that series! Fun to follow!

Why is Noah playing?

So I guess Shump is shortening his and when it came time to trade him for Dudley it wasn't acceptable? Rubio is shortening his career too?

3G4G, it's like you've never had a major injury before.

Every injury and every recovery are different. Please first let us know what you know about ACL/meniscus recovery (and perhaps the details of Rose v Shump v Rubio) and Plantar fasciitis.

And then let us know the details of each player's recovery. Usually it takes a player at least a month or so of training camp to get into playing shape to be effective.... See Amare and his curve this past year, his first weeks were caca.

Why would Rose risk any of this? Has anyone seen the likes of Allan Houston and his return? Seems as if he came back too early and possibly ruined his career. Why risk it if you are Rose or the Bulls?
