Good game from CC, didn't have his best stuff but he kept the Sox in check. Left him in one batter too long, but hey sometimes you gotta give your ace that one last guy when he says he wants it.

CC was great tonight, but after he couldn't get out Pedroia that should've been all for him. He basically used an innings worth of pitches there

This was a bit of a man made jam, but we basically lost it on Pedroia's at bat. I hate that little ****er, but he really grinds it out at the plate

this comes down to 1 thing - the red sox completely own the mental advantage on us. that's ok. we were 7-0 vs. detroit in 2005.

You know what, that's what makes the save such a ridiculous stat and the closers role so overrated- was that not the biggest spot in the game where a shutdown reliever was needed? Much bigger spot for Mo to come in there and get 3 outs than to start the 9th with bases empty to get 3. Now he may not even get a chance to enter the game.
