Trump Effect: Jewish and Muslim Organizations Form New Alliance

Less than a week after an election that left many minority and religious groups in the United States feeling disenfranchised, two important organizations – one Jewish and the other Muslim – announced an unusual alliance on Monday.

The American Jewish Committee and the Islamic Society of North America have teamed up to form a new national group of leading Jewish and Muslim Americans: The Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council.

In a press release, the AJC said that the new group “brings together recognized business, political and religious leaders in the Jewish and Muslim American communities to jointly advocate on issues of common concern.”

The co-chairs of the 31-member council are Stanley Bergman, CEO of the Henry Schein healthcare company, and Farooq Kathwari, president and CEO of the Ethan Allen furniture company.

Among its initial “action items,” the press release said, will be to “develop a coordinated strategy to address anti-Muslim bigotry and anti-Semitism in the U.S.” and to “protect and expand the rights of religious minorities” in the country.

“Our two communities share so much in common and should find ways, where possible, to work together for the benefit of the entire country,” said Bergman.

The council members include religious and lay leaders from both communities. Among the most prominent names on the membership list is Joseph Lieberman, the former senator who was the Democratic vice presidential candidate in 2000.

See? Trump is already healing divisions and uniting the country.

The worst antisemits are liberal Jews...
So no surprise here.
They will make an alliance with Hitler if they were around at a time.
Actually people they created this alias with are in the same ballpark as Nazy anyways.

You would have made a great one....

No...
Hitler was liberal national-socialist.
He just never treat anybody but Arians as people.
I am conservative, so no chance.

You talk about races the same way he did, advocated the same kind of solutions, and when you get called on it, you turn into fing Jerry Garcia.

Can you point me to the specific post or thread I proposed this "solutions"?
I doubt you will find any.
You do not like the truth my friend but it's OK.
It's pretty common thing.

How about talking about getting muslims to kill each other off? You aren't my friend, you're an intolerant POS. And every time you respond to one of my post the way you did Im going to remind you of that fact.

Muslims are doing this without any involvement including my.
Since I had this statement which you obviously took out of context (don't worry this is common technic) they are killing each other in epic rates.
Not sure why they so concerned about religious differences so much that it worth killing people in masses.
I guess it is similar to what Europeans did during Inquisition and religions wars in middle ages.
I think one day they will grow up as civilization and stop this atrocities along with other things like stoning, honor killing, treatment women like sh..t, etc. It will take time zo and probably longer that my and your lifetime.

You are a bigot and a racist- you view them as a lesser, more savage species. You realise America was segregating people on the basis of race right up until the 60s, don't you. Americans still kill Americans in mass shootings, Americans vote mysogynists to be president, Americans favor torture, Americans rape women, Americans kill women for cheating on them, Americans sexually abuse their children, grand children, nieces and nephews. Let's judge all Americans on the basis of the actions of the worst.

Hitler was not a liberal, I can't believe anyone would call him that.

You need to read more about how Nazy came to power.
Specifically how they manipulated the German people with many liberal ideas but with some caveat... only for Germans.
He was another utopia artist slowly evolving as monster.

I know all about Hitler's rise to power, he wasn't a liberal, no one credible argues that he was

Absolutely not. Absolute majority of Muslims are good people. They just put in bad situation.
The problem is the level of civilization development not any specific person development.
The laws, traditions, and governance is still at middle age or tribal level.
That's why people are running out, getting radicalized and violent.
Some counties with large Muslim population are getting modernized and people lives improved dramatically.
It is slow process zo and many reactionary forces fight it viciously.
Abuse and violence surely exist in US but it is considered crime not part of the law or tradition.
Catholics are not killing Protestants, or Muslims, or Jews and people are not stoned or killed for infidelity.
Muslim religion is not a problem - the Islamism political system is.
Unfortunately it is different to separate one from another since Prophet created first Islamist kleptocracy.
But this is the main challenge Muslim people are facing and need to overcome to have prosperous future.

Found this online, if you are not familiar with how Assange ended up in the situation he is in.

Sweden was in a plot with the US to get Assange to Sweden to give a statement on made up allegations, once it Sweden it is much easier to extradite him to the US for face espionage charges.
That is why he is in the embassy to start with, he was tipped off about what was going to go down.
Because of the tip off, he sought asylum with Ecuador. He offered to give a statement to the Swedish police from the embassy, as there is no case against him, this would mean the case was closed but of course, this rejected by Sweden.
Because of the arrest warrant Sweden put out, if Assange left the embassy he would be arrested and shipped from the UK to Sweden so he was imprisoned in the embassy. The UN rightly declared this unlawful imprisonment.
Now Obama has is going and Clinton lost, Sweden are trying to bring their made up case to a close, which means the arrest warrant is cancelled and Assange can leave his imprisonment in the embassy.

Note - Sweden's immigration policy (very open) is causing extreme problems in the country, bringing it down.

Bringing what down?

Sweden. It is in a tough spot from having such and open door policy. Here in Germany it is somewhat difficult but the country is pretty wealthy, it can withstand it so far.

Exactly what damage was caused to Sweden?

From people here in Germany with family/friends there, I hear there is an economic weight, which is nothing shocking but a growing problem is a lack of the Muslim cultures blending with Swedish culture (again, not a big shock).
This article is kind of light but gets into the economic points. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/430633/refugees-economic-impact-sweden-not-light

I have friends in Italy and the immigration going on there, is really a much bigger problem and in more ways (e.g. violence). There is now talk of Italy leaving the EU. First Britain and my guess more will follow.

You know, you can just Google this all, it is a pretty talked about thing. I mostly say that as you don't agree with anything I say.

You're an immigrant, so can you stop your passive aggressive agenda of demonizing Muslim refugees who are fleeing a horrific war that we helped create. Thanks.

The truth is a lot of European countries have aging populations and their future will depend on a large influx of immigrants to make up the shortfall. The irony is that all these anti-immigrant inbreds who complain about immigrants ruining their country and stealing their jobs and benefits will be reliant on them in their old age.

Huh? I'm an American living in Europe temporarily. By definition, I'm not an immigrant. Regardless, no reason to take that tone and name call. Passive agenda? Hey, want to guess what my ancestry is?

You do realize that not all countries in the EU are receiving immigrants right? When Sweden, Italy and Germany get the brunt of them, it is going to create problems.

But you hit the nail on the head, these same policies of bombing that Hillary voted across the board for, created this tragedy.

I also understand Germany needs people, but having an open door policy from a country your ally is bombing, that does have terrorists, is a recipe for disaster.
Please, don't make this about me via your guilt by association.

So "immigrant" now qualifies as name calling? Guess we have very different standards for the spoken language as well.

Name calling means calling someone a name. Generally that name is derogatory or used derogatorily. Considering the context here and since you mostly know nothing about me except I'm an American living in Germany, you come up with - I am an immigrant? I don't know where you were going with that except that it is false. So, jump to the next attack and skip over my points.

Nice trying to blame the victim, typical.

My grandfather was from Syria. If we are helping to bomb Syria (or if Hillary was supplying weapons to ISIS to attack Assad), then we have a problem having an open door policy with Syria.
I have nothing against Syrians, I don't hate myself, just a problem with those creating this situation.

Reading comprehension is the ability to actually understand what you read and parse out the content from the noise that overwhelms your active and biased imagination.

I didn't call you an immigrant someone else did.

What I asked you is exactly what is derogatory about being an immigrant?

I am a naturalized citizen for last 6 years and a legal immigrant. I am neither black nor white nor Muslim or any other religion. I don't think being called an immigrant is victimizing someone. Nor would I play the victim of someone called me one.

Like I said we have very different expectations from this language.

Are you going to hold it against me that I thought it was the same conversation? Man, I had just woken up, same thread, lol.
But thanks for the reading comprehension sarcasm. You had a choice to be a human being about it, but responded like that.

Regarding your question, I imagine it is the intent of the person, not so much the word. It doesn't offend me per se, I just didn't understand it as I said I'm American.

I grew up in NYC in the 60s through the 90s. Long before conservatives and evangelicals decided to chip in, liberal Jews from New York City led the effort to bring Russian Jews to America, they lobbied for your rights in congress long before conservatives did. With the latter it was much more about end times religious beliefs. Liberal Jews paved the way for your arrival, you should show them more respect.

You have described other races, colors, in a less than flattering light repeatedly. You use charged language to describe them. Nothing to take out of context.

None of us are pitch perfect when it comes to race and religion, myself included. Most of us make an effort not to offend, or to at least disagree without being disagreeable. I post about Jews and Muslims peacefully coming together and you start calling them liberal Nazis. Every time you do **** like that Im going to call you on it. Thats all Im going to say.

Some quotas please... or better reference to thread or post.
So far you just making things up and putting them in my mouth.
As I said its a common technique.
Don't be lazy man. Do some work to prove your accusations.

Lazy is thinking that Hitler was a liberal. He had the support of Germany's largest corporations. How many fing liberals would have been able to do that? Hitler was a fascist as in the merger of state and corporate power. You know nothing of your history.

Proof. You just called someone a liberal Nazi moron. Plenty of examples like that, look for yourself.

LOL
Typical liberal.
A lot of talk but 0 work.

Says the immigrant who comes to this country and blames liberals who made sure you were able to get into this country, and social programs were in place in case you needed help. You think conservatives want more immigrants?

Not going to read through your posts again, thats time I will never get back. You thought that Hitler was a liberal. You have to be the stupidest mfer on the planet. I only responded to you in the first place because you made a point of calling people who wanted peace "Nazis". You are one sick puppy.

I am here because of the efforts of conservatives and evangelical leaders to support Jewish emigration to US.
US liberals and US liberal Jewish organization even more so never help this but rather tried to stop it.
I and my people were around dudes like you for 5555 years... No problem - we are still kicking a..ses.
Wanting peace is good but at expense of whom?

Please name a liberal jewish organization that tried to stop you from coming here and why did they do it?

I grew up in NYC in the 60s through the 90s. Long before conservatives and evangelicals decided to chip in, liberal Jews from New York City led the effort to bring Russian Jews to America, they lobbied for your rights in congress long before conservatives did. With the latter it was much more about end times religious beliefs. Liberal Jews paved the way for your arrival, you should show them more respect. You should also be more sympathetic to people who are fleeing a dangerous situation.

It is not so simple as you think.
This article can be of interest to you and it is written by liberal Jew.
http://forward.com/opinion/329923/liberal-jews-didnt-betray-israel-our-organizations-betrayed-us/
The history showed us to never stop trying to reach to the people even if all we hear is assaults and name calling.
Jews were always their own worst enemies as we always wanted to make the world a better place for all people...
In Us, in Russia, in Germany, and elsewhere.
All we get for this are accusation of conspiracy to take the power and wealth out of local people following with repressions and genocide. But we will never stop trying as this is our mission, as Muslim scholars insisting over and over again - "The mission of the people of The book and the prophesy".

History seems to mean very little to you. Explains a lot. I was there. I saw the protests by the United Nations for Russian Jews led by local Democratic Jewish politicians. If you were here at the time you would have a much better appreciation for the groundwork the liberal Jewish community put in. It wasnt just a one time thing.

As for name calling, this started because you decided that calling Jews and Muslims who wanted to set an example "Nazis". Im not a big fan of Joe Lieberman because of some of the things he did in the Senate, but I respect the fact that he is trying to set an example. You dont have to be be 100 percent on board with someone politically to respect something positive they have done for you.

No I won't hold it against you, it was an honest mistake, I get it. We all make those from time to time. Sarcasm just happens to be my posting style, can't change that.

Again not sure how you judge intent, but you have said negative things about immigrants and you have consistently called it a problem. That's all I know about you. That and the fact that you seem to honestly belive HRC would declare war on Russia without any evidence of any kind.

You are a bigot and a racist- you view them as a lesser, more savage species. You realise America was segregating people on the basis of race right up until the 60s, don't you. Americans still kill Americans in mass shootings, Americans vote mysogynists to be president, Americans favor torture, Americans rape women, Americans kill women for cheating on them , Americans sexually abuse their children, grand children, nieces and nephews. Let's judge all Americans on the basis of the actions of the worst.

What if I say I believe that cheating should be a felony punishable by jail time? Regardless of whether the husband or the wife cheats. Would you label me a bigot?

Trump could be the grand marshal at a KKK parade and you'd find a way to see it as a positive. So matter how bad or good a president he becomes, he can do no wrong in your eyes.

The Kool Aid is strong with this one. But not because he drinks it.

I think like Obelix he fell into a cauldron when he was baby.
He went school in Russia and was spoon fed Russian Govt propaganda so he thought he had learned all there is to learn about Socialism and Communism
Then he moved to he US and listened to cold war propaganda and he thought he has learned all there is to learn about Capitalism and Democracy
And along the way he picked up a strong working vocabulary with really beeg words like "kleptocray"
It's hard to prove this on a internet forum but I bet he can even do joined up writing and ****
I think somewhere along the line he has even implied he is smarter than Einstein
He is by far the most interesting Russian in the world
Plus he maybe the ONLY person on earth to call Hitler a liberal socialist
Forrest Gump pales in comparison to him, Arkrud is as Arkrud posts
