I hope you see how sloppy Lin is playing and it has nothing to do with McHale's coaching....

Honestly, too many blowouts. I hope the game 2's are better or at least the 2nd round.

Easy on Lin. It was his first playoff game ever. He is young and will hopefully learn. Not saying not to post about his bad game. Just don't want it to go to far so hopefully the debates want come up again.

Eh. He sucked tonight. We call others on the carpet for bad games, Lin is NOT immune. Personally, I think he's a bad fit for the Rockets in general. They'd be better off with a Conley type of PG, someone who is defensive-oriented who can actually knock down an outside shot.

I was curious to see how Lin would play in the playoffs- thought he'd be one of those players who raises their game, but apparently not: 1-7FG 0-4 3PT 4AST 4TO's 4PTs. Looks like he made the right decision to sit out the playoffs last season with us!

In the first half, or rather before the last 5 min of the half he was ok. Could not hit a 3 to save his life. He played great defense though. He really bothered Westbrook in the half court. When he drove they smacked him around and it seemed to really affect him. He stopped penetrating after that. Refs also swallowed their whistles. Those smacks were not called even for harden and parsons.

I hope Lin learns from this and play better on Wednesday. All th talking heads agree that Lin need to be better for Rockets to win.

Barkley nailed it right on. He said he Rockets were down 15 to 2 in the 1st quarter because he pressed and forced it taking his teammates out of it.

Rockets really need to let Lin run he point. I mean even when Beverley was in, Lin was not running the point. Why would you put a below averag spot up player spotting up. While he is a very good playmaker. Boggles the mind.

Brooks also outcoached McHale in game 1. Brooks packed the paint and took out penetration from ISOs. McHale really should have ran more PnR or ball movement. Also, on every shot attempt by OKC, he had 2 guys run back on defense no matter what to take away fast breaks. It was brilliant.

Rockets are the 8th seed. They finished 2-6 and dropped from the 7th.

Looks like the Same comments from those who don't like McHale or Lin all season just cutting and pasteing.

Looks to me:

OKC has has an home court advantage with its non Mecca college like intensity.
Westbrook is fast
Durant is 2nd best player in the league.
Lin's first playoff game
Hardens first Game as Alpha dog
Parsons first playoff game.

8th seed team on the rise with limited bench against the defending west champs who also had best conference record.

Looks to me the Rockets Team ran into a juggernut who made a statement. Rockets did not play well as a team.

Lin and Asik were role bench players last yeear. Rockets and their fans have to be very happy over the teams progress this season.

Not exactly as they all got their shots from Parsons to Smith to Asik early on and didn't convert(I can pull up the Play-By-Play as proof)....They simply weren't ready at jump ball and got steamrolled by OKC.

When Harden settled into a rhythm that's what got them back into the game. Barkley's comments made it seem like the game was over at 15-2, it wasn't. Unfortunately no one else joined him afterwards. Lin was overwhelmed by Westbroook almost the whole night, out of position several times on defense and actually gets overwhelmed by extremely quick and athletic point guards. Now Westbrook has the talent to abuse plenty of the opposition on most nights but this is the real season No Excuses.....Lin and the rest of the guys have to play better. It's one thing to say you're young but you don't have to play dumb. Where I'll fault McHale's coaching and it's been a problem all yr.... their defense is atrocious and they allowed far often this yr for teams to score over 100pts on them with ease. Sorry no matter how good your offense is, this game comes down to defense. You better play defense or else you're going home early.

Yeah. I was very disappointed with his play last night. They smacked him around a bit and then he stopped penetrating. The last 5 min of the first half was reminiscent of the Miami game last year.

Actually, it is half and half in their forums about Lin. A lot of racist people there. Tough to read sometimes.

I want to give them a pass because it is their first game, but that showing was horrible. Everyone looked scared. The one player who was busting his arse to play was Beverley but this kid has no BBall IQ. I mean he is the PG and he continuously tries to get an offensive rebound which exposes them for the fast break. Westbrook was just taking off and scoring at will.

OKC has homecourt advantage and won fifteen more games than Houston. I only saw a few min of the game but you really can't expect it to be close. Houston can keep it closer than yesterday but I don't expect it to go 6 or 7 games.

Can't really judge an interest discussion can we?

They are very young but they are far from complete. I think they made a nice improvement this year!
