The stretch I watched from late 3rd quarter into the 4th quarter the differential was Duncan Robinson punking the Cavs and Donovan Mitchell punking the Cavs

DM is a very showboaty player with excess motion to no effect. He has a high dribble that makes it harder for him to exercise precise ball control and he goes bouncing into the lane flailing like a stuck chicken trying to figure out his next step. DM is one of those players who jumps into the fire and hopes his move works out, because he doesn't really know how to think 2 or 3 steps ahead. It is hero balling that relies on athleticism and slick reactions, but it is fundamentally a stupid kind of ball that he plays.

He was missing everything at point blank range instead of pulling up and draining a floater over the defenders in the paint.

He has his big games, but he feels like empty calories a lot of the time.

Brunson got compared to him in the past because of the Summer DM Trade Sweepstakes a few years ago, but TBH he isn't half the player Brunson is.

By comparison, Brunson is a master of counter-moves. He has programmed a reaction to every defender's move so he is legit 2 steps ahead at most times, making him almost impossible to predict and thus to defend.

Something seems off with Mitchell -- maybe having to defer to Harden so much or maybe some personality conflict but he doesn't seem himself to me - looks disinterested even when going well.

Randle, Mcdaniels and Gobert having a horrible offensive series.
Add Ant man at 75% and surprised they won two.

Are we talking about the year the Hawks were playing suffocating defense, and made it to the conference finals? And Reggie Bullock couldn't get open to catch a pass to save his life? Although it's hard to blame Reggie, he had to chase Trae around with ridiculous rules the NBA changed that offseason.

Or are we talking about the year Randle was playing on the ankle that needed surgery? The ankle he injured right before the playoffs started?

That said, Julius is now having a bad series. And I think he is healthy. So haters can legitimately hate now. Congrats!

I'm sure Wemby hurts the bully ball, but Julius has to adapt.

As a Knick fan, im so glad I no longer have to endure Playoff Randle

19/49 -86 over 5 games. 38,7% FG. In the playoffs. Bench player in a starting role. He is not a starting level player on a contender. Standing around on defense. Watching the ball instead of boxing out. Walking up and down the court with his head down. Minnesota should fire the GM who made that trade and then extended him. Couldn't be me.

Anybody that counts Julius' playoff appearances as a Knick is mentally challenged. And I am heavily sugar-coating that statement.

As for the series against the Spurs, hate away. He stunk.

How do you play that unfocused and that poorly when you're home with a chance to advance to the ECF? Cavs should be embarrassed!

The entire beef with Julius for me, is that he can play defense. He can hustle. He can pass before he drives into three defenders. He chooses not to. Lazy/losing player. Head case. Like a spoiled child when things don't go his way. That's the energy he gives off.

Anyone still defending should not be calling others mentally challenged. That month after we got OG was the best he has ever played. Then he got hurt and he was gone. I would have loved to see that guy play. Took him a minute but, he got there. The injury and the trade must have really hurt because he is reverting to the guy before the trade. The one that sucked and was a dick to his team and the staff and the fans. Maybe he calmed down with the hissy fits with his team but, this is the Randle we had for years. Empty stat, inefficient, sloppy, low IQ player.3rd option at best on a good team. Would be a stud off the bench though.

Anthony Edwards is gonna want a trade eventually. That Gobert trade and keeping him instead of KAT? Then the Randle trade/extension ...TERRIBLE. The off-season for Minnesota is going to be interesting.

That jump ball with Mobley & Harris where the ball got tipped and was just bouncing in the same spot in the middle of like all the players of both teams. Not one Cav player went after the ball. Something is def off with them mentally.

Curious about Jules and minny hate: WE talk about how bad they are, but not credit SAS who kicked their asses? Wolves had a good season. They got this far.

Wemby on defense is some next level **** we can't fathom yet. Him and the Spur get no credit for making Jules look bad?

That is not relevant. SAS is the better team overall and the fact that Minny won any games at all considering their depleted state is actually kind of impressive.

But it has zero correlation with criticisms of a player known for plunging into deep wells of despair when their shot is not falling and who is very well known for quitting on his team when those funks occur.

That Randle's moods are so firmly fixed to his own personal offensive stats and that he barely even qualifies as a street pylon on defense is the issue.

Randle is a loser and Minnesota has players with real fight in them, but Randle is not one of them. You don't see anyone calling out Naz Reid instead of Randle for a reason. It is not just that Randle is a former Knick, it is that his history of failure to give two sh1ts about his team when under pressure is well established.

Yes, it is well established in echo chambers. Hate away.

Absolutely Nalod... the Spurs and Wemby get a ton of credit. Wemby is going to alter a lot of shots and careers.

The Hawks and Sixers were scrubs. I hope if we make it to the finals our excellent play continues.

Randle is an incredible talent. But he self shuts down every once in a while and doesn’t know how to self navigate out of it, and coaches don’t seem to help unfortunately. His biggest flaw, unfocused engagement

Look, you're a Randle fan so defending your guy even when he is failing does not come as a surprise.

I think the guy is a straight up bum, a quitter. My opinion of Randle should not be construed in any way as an attack on you.

Have I called you mentally challenged for being a Randle defender? Nah

I will never question your rationality for supporting Randle. That's your prerogative.

However, I would qualify someone as a cultist if they feel the need to attack someone who does not share their belief.

I'm new to all of this but it's not new. You just **** all over an historic NBA playoff run to the ECF by your favorite team because you are mad about Julius Randle? Is it really like that?

Julius Randle. No ****.

Julius.
Randle.

I'm hungry.
