Gay isn't even that good, he's an average defender and an inefficient scorer whose making a ton of money. Ed Davis has a lot of potential, Tayshaun Prince is a solid veteran and Austin Daye can be a nice role player.
You can say Memphis blew their title chances, but with Gay they never really had title chances.

Jason Kidd told us he didn't even pick up a basketball during all-star weekend, that's why he didn't want to shoot.

IMO there were some things you can take from this game.

1. They still have work to do on Defensive execution
2. Kidd is killing them right now. He doesn't want the ball and it's hurting the team.
3. They don't use STAT enough nor in the right way. He should be getting more touches on the elbow as well as in the post Also some PnR plays so he can get the ball on the move more. That's been his game for years and now he just doesn't get those high % looks.
4. We need to get our bigs healthy. Camby, Sheed and Kmart can't get healthy soon enough.

I don't think Kidd likes getting that the ball that close to a teammate as well as a defender. Most 3s he makes, Kidd has more room to get off a shot. Its a judgement call. He was hitting his shots before then.

And why wasn't amare in the game whith three mins left... Aweful coaching by woody... Close game front line should be chandler amare melo.. No matter fouls or q s... We really need to ? Why amare is not in in crunch Time... Really starting to ? Woodys judgement no plays called In the last two min other then iso with melo... Come on... Amare in last three min game won no qs asked!

Yup. Then hope for Phil Jackson, but instead end up with Herb Williams. Anyway I hope this is a joke. We're the third seed in the Eastern Conference and are 12 games over 500. Just a rough stretch.
