Houston was shooting out of their minds. But the defense was horrible also. Effort wasn't there. Plain and simple.

We took the advantage of some depleted teams and sluppy bbal at the beginning of the season.
Now the real test will begin. We get scouted enough to get challenged.
The next 5-6 games will tell us where we are really stend.

Come on now. Knicks had a legit tough schedule and secured some impressive wins against good teams. No caveats needed. They were the best team in the league for ten games. Just because they played like the worst for one game doesn't mean everything they've built is moot.

This is where I'm at. Tonight has been creeping up on this team since the Magic game, maybe even the first Mavs game. They started having lapses on D in the first half of games and then come out in the second and clamp down, so they'd win. Now they've stopped sharing the ball. These are fixable problems. They've just got to get back to the principles that had them winning games in the first place.

+1 good post

He showed all his faults on the court. He looked like the guy his harshest critics describe.

No ball movement early. Rest of the team fell asleep and then Melo let Patterson go right down the lane as he argued with the refs after taking a ridiculous shot and expecting a foul

Nobody takes this away... but nothing special also.
This season start runs are always suspicious.
It was special for Knick team as a bad losers they were last 10+ years. But this about it.

Hopefully they have another 8-2 run and you can take another month off from posting here.

We all want them to win.
But is something has to be improved why not to talk about it?
Our stars should stop making a heros of themselves and start working. And have respect for other teams.
Then they will be the winners even in loss.
But with attitude they show in Griz and todays games winning in NBA is not possible.

Poor attitude in the second half. Once again he let the refs get into his head. He can't do that he has to rise above it and play D. He needs to take the next step of letting his D do his talking and being the reason why his team makes a comeback. He also started chucking and turning the ball over. He has to be better.

So you're saying it's a fluke when you say effort wasn't there? I hope you're right. It's not plain and simple because our team's defense isn't like this normally.

Parsons with over 30points?

Parsons was amazing. I really like Budinger and was surprised last year when parsons beat him out for minutes.

I wasn't I wanted us to pick Parsons up in the second round with an additional pick or moving up with our second plus a purchase. He was extremely good at Florida and he was on my list of players to watch before the season started.

yep he was good last year just inconsistent. Had him on my fantasy team last year and this year so I've been keeping a close eye. He is good

I'm a UF fan so I wanted him and thought he would be perfect in MDA's offense but it didn't happen. People who do not know about him just as Kobe about Parsons. When Kobe gives you compliments as a rookie and seeks you out after a game you are doing something right.

The old Melo show up and scored a lot of points. Carier high in 3th made.
And Woody should bench him for this "heroics" and Felton who was tryind to show that "he is better that Lin" too... but aparently he cannot do this.

Felton didn't play poorly. Took some bad shots early. But overall played well. Melo had a few REALLY bad sequences on D and complaining. But if we're benching anyone it's Tyson. He's not displaying effort in protecting the paint. We get decimated in the paint.

This is where STAT comes in IMHO(yes, MrKnickshot I know about his health. When Melo gets frustrated you can sit his butt down. I realize he is getting hit every game but he has to rise above it.

Asik has owned us tonight

no surprise, he is a rebounding monster and we are a poor rebounding team..

If Melo did what he did with no-defence and tech for arguing with refs any coach who has selfrespect will bench him.
Woody let this game get out of hands and this is happening second time in 10 games.

it is funny on the clutch fans site, after one game I pretty much got on lin about having to work on his handle, and I gave props to parsons for playing well.. don't you know this one fan attacked me for criticizing lin and giving parsons props.. they love lin over there, and they really are not that in love with parsons.. they like him, but I feel they don't love him... I say send him here.. LOL

I don't know about all of that. The man is playing out of position and has guarded guys like Z-Bo & Gasol. He's getting KILLED out there and not getting calls. Last game he got a fist to the face and it went uncalled. He's getting frustrated and let it out tonight. I don't think his actions this game showed anything but that. The entire TEAM needed to play better D tonight, not just Melo. Melo sure didn't allow 131 points by the Rockets on his own.

Carmelo needs to control his anger. He is a bad player when he is angry and frustrated. Woodson may need to look into taking him out or taking a time out when melo gets hot.

Maybe these are the real knicks. I mean we have been fooled before the past 12 years

I was never fooled. People just don't believe me and scold me when I said as long as JimmyD is the owner, we won't get a legit shot at championship.

Is this your i told you so moment? Not a good night for the Knicks but they are 8-3.
