Mo Evans is like Landry Fields... except he can shoot the 3. not a bad pickup.

Would prefer Dahntay Jones for some reason.

oh, totally. Dahntay Jones is MUCH better.

but harder to get.

i wonder if the Mo Evans interest means they know they can't get some of the better SGs on the market.

i guess they still have roster spots if one slips down to a minimum salary offer...

Whats the deal with Carl Landry? That guy is a totally underappreciated, efficient player. Would love to get him to add a scoring threat off the bench.

I prefer Jones too but Evans is prolly an easier get. We eyed him last year. If we can't get Jones or Lee, Evans isn't bad. Big 2 who is a big time defender and scrapper and can hit an outside jumper.

Once Shumpert gets healthy, maybe they can pull off the triple alley oop with him and JR!

wow, AMAZING HOPS, anyone have clips of you in an actually game though?

Brandon Rush, Paul George, Ariza, are some players I feel would compliment Iman and Tyson/Camby out, and multiply our defense abilities if joined together.

Deshuan Stevenson isn't very young, but for a vet min, can hit 3pointers, and he was part of the Dallas rotation for defense for the vet minimum.
White could be a younger version of him with much more hops, anyone know if he can shoot FTs, and wide open 3pointers?

We basically have to try to find, these type of players that resemble what their defense, athleticism, and defense in the D League, Europe, and undrafted players from this year and previous years.
James White is that type of caliber players, love what I am seeing so far, and love how Grunweld and his staff/scouts continues to find gems.
Unconventional signings with Pablo and White, something Spurs have been executing on, and The Knick's finally have added in their arsenal.

Got to credit our scouts for finding such a cheap, young, and potential athlete.

Some other low level salaries that can substitute Iman's presence with Dahntay Jones

Delonte West *for vet minimum, I would welcome his bipolar disorder, as Kidd played with his last season, and I think he should voice his opinion on acquiring him with management.

Anthony Tolliver - really like him, not sure if vet minimum will be enough, versatile, runs the floor well, garbage man, plays SF-C, and legit 3point range when open.

Maurice Evans - he is quite old but has been in great shape for many years, for a veteran minimum, he is a solid bench player.

Gerald Green - took some time to develop and would provide defense, improved 3point shooting, and like *White, an amazing athlete*

James Singleton- another forward that can rebound and be a double double threat that could be for the cheap

I hope we can use Gadzuric's contract somehow to get Kidd's over with a S$T, Mark Cuban trashed Dan Gilbert for possibly making Nets a powerhouse team by entering the DH drama.
While, I don't think we are in the same status as a super TEAM, we have some very good players in depth.

Without a young player to throw in with Gadzuric to make the salaries worthwhile for Donnie/Cuban to accept, right under 1m to spice up, and 2016 1st/2nd round picks available, only the 2nd rounder is worthwhile for us to use on Kidd.

looks like his Knick name is 'flight 75'

" When White was younger, he earned the nickname "Flight 75" for his leaping ability. In fact, he can dunk from the free throw line while putting the ball between his legs." http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks/post/_/id/21792/james-white-signs-with-knicks

Warriors acquire combo guard Jarrett Jack from Hornets in part of Dorell Wright-to-Phily trade.
The Hornets only requirement is to take back the draft rights to Edin Bavcic (originally to Philadelphia) to complete the trade. Jack will be a valuable backup in GSW and this could mean Nate Robinson won't return. As for the Hornets, this should clear the way for Greivis Vasquez to start at point guard this season - at least for now. The move will also get $5.4 million off New Orleans' cap.

=========================================

I think Jack is a solid player, can play PG/SG/SF, is a natural scorer that has improved his ability to facilitate.
He plays good defense, is versatile, and could play a role as a starter or 6th man.
Great pickup for GS, looks like Nate will have to find another team, after a solid year last season.

I wonder, if they have a deal in place for Brandon Rush, would love to steal him.
Brandon Rush can compliment our defense tremendously, with great size, athleticism, and reach.
A G/F that literally has the ability to fills up ALL the stats.
He takes good shots, offensive rebounds, steals, blocks, RBS, points, EVERYTHING!
He was their spark of the bench last year, he didn't even play many minutes, maybe afraid he would demand a big offer or another team to give him a hard to match contract.
I hope we can add Dahntay Jones and eventually swing him over for a S&T for him, he will be a UFA next season, a RFA now.

What I like best about him is he can play all of our style/philosophies of BBALL with our different linups.

1) He can play with Melo's ISO style

2) running team style with Kidd/Lin ball movemnt/cutting

3) grind out basketball with defense, he would be part of our anchor with Iman, and Chandler/Camby

Royce Young: It's official: The Thunder have signed Hollis Thompson, the team announces. Twitter

Hollis Thompson is a 6'8 SG/SF with legit 3point range and is LONG and athletic. Complete steal I see him being in between Brandon Rush/Paul George/Dorrell Wright

I like Kevin Jones that was signed to a 3 year deal by Cleveland earlier.
one by one, all the players that are STEALS to go undrafted are going to get picked up.
I love the James White signing, but Hollis Thompson has a lot of upside, and could be signed for 2 years to be part of our rotation, as well as a prospect for future.

Knicks did not invite a lot of talented players that went undrafted to their summer league.
Maybe Glen was too busy and focused on other areas, but this was such a deep draft, getting invites and showing interest could buy us some time.

I don't know if we can sign a player to a NBA contract that is in another team's summer league?
Anyone know the an
swer to that?

Since I knew Iman would be out and wasn't sure what was going to happen with JR Smith, I payed much attention to these 2.
Both players could be late 1st round/ early 2nd round draft with a regular draft but fell of the board in this deep draft.
I would have loved to acquire both, with their size, they could play SG/SF and move Melo to PF at stretches.
They would also be able to play SF to give him Melo rest and allow Amare to have athletic shooters to space the floor.
With Thompson, you can go small, playing him at PF at times.

Maybe Grunweld has plans I don't know about, but I sure would still have like to pick up Alex Young, preferred both but oh well...

I would much rather have both of these players than Laundry Fields, no offense to Fields...

yeah, when you think of how much money they spent - consider the knicks got Lin, Kidd, Camby, JR, Novak for $57M guaranteed over the next three years in comparison...

David Aldridge ‏@daldridgetnt

Nets' new contract commitments: $98M (DWill), $40M (Wallace), $89M (remainder of Joe Johnson's contract), $60M (Lopez). Total: $287 million.

makes $20M for landry fields look like pocket change.
