The mistakes and wasted possessions killed us, but to come down to the wire with the Bulls isn't a bad game. Think about it. Our starting backcourt is a rookie Combo guard and a SG that is really a SF. It would be great to have them coming off the bench, but we don't have that kind of depth yet. Gotta see if they can play the same way tomorrow and the day after that.

We gotta get us a starting PG and SG - But Fields is back and that's great.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Tomorrow should be interesting. I am also concerned with a point that I think Reggie made. Rose today, then Rondo, then Deron. I hope Shump doesn't start cramping on us.

HA HA HA. You got me with this one and it wasn't even a joke! It just struck me funny cuz that was a BRUTAL performance from our bench. Thing is there's no one there. TD and Walker really. If you sub in Lin maybe you can get something out of them. I can only hope that happens soon. Tonight wasn't the game to do it, but maybe on the road in Boston or against the Nets. Free JLin

I agree. I hope this is a sign that the team is coming together and not just fired up for a big game. They certainly looked to be playing like a team on both ends of the floor.

How about amare!

He played with gusto

It was great to see Amare play like that.

And his j is starting to come around. I really think he was out of shape for to start.

The Clippers are going to kill them. The Nuggets play well but they don't have a go to guy.

they have depth somethign we dont have. Sometimes you dont need three stars you just need a good collections of good players like philly

Good players don't win championships....good players with a few stars do. Philly is playing over their heads.

Seeing what is happening now do you still make the melo trade or just wait for FA

No denying we gave up a lot and in a perfect world Melo would have went to free agency but no sense in living in the past. Even after the Melo trade we knew we were still another year away from being a championship contender. I think most people, including myself, got wound up when we inked Chandler.

This team is not that flawed we just really need a PG. Before this seaon started we needed a C. Now we have the C and no PG. 8-14 sucks but keeping things in perspective we're 6 games under .500 with 44 to go. They played tough tonight and almost pulled out a W. We got the L but it's one of these games that they may be able to build on. We'll see how tomorrow goes but no way in hell do we lose to the Nets.

im a huge knicks fan but we aren't close to being a contender. Yes we need a pg but its very hard to find a good one with slary cap limitations. like i said if melo wants to restructure his contract to free up some money i would give him props since he screwed us in a way

Would be nice if Lin showed some progress against the celtics.

I just never imagined that TD would be this bad. Also it seems like no one was really ready for the season. STAT, Melo and TD all came off injury and surgery. They weren't in real BB shape and their games weren't sharp. IF you have no bench and all your top guys are off their game, it's gonna be ugly. Now they all look like were used to seeing them.

We just need a decent PG. Didn't Charlie Ward run point all the way to the finals? Just need a PG that can drive and dish and can knock down an open shot.

It's really not as easy as it seems. The Coach is trying to build some chemistry and confidence in the core group. Then he can expand on that once he has them working at a high level. People are putting too much into Lin's garbage time minutes. A game like this tonight is on another level from that kind of spot. I do believe that Lin can help, but I want to see him get in there in a more realistic spot for him to have success and build up to the point where he can play in the tough spots.

Man the Clips play 3 pgs at once and we don't have one. I will never understand how the FO and CS went into this season thinking "Yeah TD will be fine out there"

What game is Baron coming back for next week?

It's really not that hard. Put Lin in with 3 min left in the 1st quarter. See how he does and then maybe play him the beginning of the 2nd quarter for another 2 min. Reggie Miller said it best, Thibedough knows how to develop his players. He was playing his rookies some minutes to give them a taste. If you wait for TD to get the chemistry and confidence then all is lost.

Guys, with his career on the line...You really think MDA is going to put Lin in to be ridiculed on national television..

Let me see..With my career on the line and Charles Barkley in the studio, I will insert the borderline NBDL/NBA player to see what happens in the biggest game of the year thus far...

That's why I was saying this wasn't the game to put him in there. I know everyone wants to find a replacement for TD, but Lin isn't going to just leapfrog over TD. TD is a vet and has been here with MDA the longest. No way he throws him under the bus for a kid that has never done anything yet. Lin will get his shot tho. I think it's inevitable. Plus don't underestimate the fact that Lin may not really know the playbook as well as he needs to. He came in late and there have been very few practices. I count maybe 3 full practices if i'm not mistaken.

And you think playing TD who is shooting 25 pct from 3 and letting him shoot is good for his career?

Thats big balls!

Do you actually think TD knows the "play book" better than Lin?

TD could not count to 5!

Please ... enough with the "MDA trusts TD" stuff! its comical.

"Get in there Tony. Wink - you know what you gotta do in the next 5 minutes right?" "yeah coach. You want me to do 4 turnovers, no assists and just Jack and Whack" "you got it Tony, thats why I love you. I love that Tony, he is so cute!"

There are several aspect of this you guys are not looking at...If MDA inserts Lin with vets like Amare and Camelo...If Lins screws up, MDA loses the team...It's that close right now..Lin cannot direct Melo and Amare at this point in his career...It's a delicate situation...
