anyway since they made the final score look less embarrassing im not too dissapointed with this game, the reason why we lost is becuase we simply dont have anyone on our team who can guard kobe bryant.

I think everyone needs to realize what they want Marbury to do. Everyone complains when he takes too many shots and then everyone will complain when he doesnt take enough. What's it going to be?

If your team is struggling, you step up.

yeah but you can't force Marbury to be the guy to take a game over. He's too streaky a shooter. All he can do effectively is penetrate and good defenses know how to put a stop to that
He did shoot very well from mid-rang last year, but this year, this game especially he has not shown confidence in his shot.

The defenses just collapse when he starts getting by his man and we have no reliable spot up shooters outside of Frye.

Frye sat way too long.

channing frye and david lee should play 30 mins a night

this was a very typical channing frye game from college and why he was called soft. He has superior offensive skills, he can run the floor and block a shot, but how the heck does a 7 foot kid get 3 rebounds in 35 minutes? Im glad he scored some points and looked real good at many points--a kid with a great future, but he has to move his game in and not settle for that jumpshot so much. he has to get his hands dirty on some rebounds--not the ones that happen to fall in his hands. a PF in this league who plays 35 has to come down with atleast 7-8 rebounds and I hope they show him the tape.

Well, can't guard him for the whole game, sure. They did a good job on him for part of the game.

and this is not to break them on CF. Im glad he got his 18 shots and he showed what he can do with that--he can score points, but i wonder if channing can actually be moved to the three position like a dirk type where he can play inside out--he can handle the ball a bit

You're right. He needs to rebound a lot better. He's out of position on D a lot, trying to help, trying to block shots. But he needs to learn to box out better. He's pretty solid on the offensive boards though.

the right mix, knowing what to do and when.

For instance, notice when Marbury is scoring his best setup is his drive and dish. Notice when he's in Stephyll and Hyde mode, and only distributing, it's all on the perimeter, he doesn't even penetrate to collapse the D.

He really doesn't know how to run a club and how to win. And his "energy" leaves something to be desired.

He is learning to admit to himself that he doesn't know that. At the same time, he's learning what to do and when to do it. Learning to lead will come with it. If it doesn't by the end of this year, then he's gone.

take away 20 pts from KOBE and we win the game.. It was KOBE, he killed us when he needed too.. THATS what Marbury haven't done yet.. take over!!!

Marbury would also be vivisected in the press if he took 35 shots. Excuse me, 36 shots.

Marbury is playing Brown's game. He still has to learn where he's supposed to score in the flow of the offense. It's a learning process like everything else right now, he'll get there. He did have a season high in assists tonight. He'll get there and when his game is together the team will be that much better.

Need to put him @ the 2 so he can take as many shots as he wants and get yourself a pg that can work Brown's system.. A definite rule in the NBA, your pg isn't suppose to be your high scorer on the team. His job is to run the offense and be a general on the floor..

MArbury needs to score 20 or more pts a game for us to win..

It looks like he's trying. We need to see more games to see if it's for real. Where's OnDemand fast forward when you need it?

you think that would help us win? Marbury isn't Iverson and even they were fluky when they went to the finals in a time when the East was awful

exacept when it mattered as usual

Take it with a grain of salt...like when LB said Rose played "phenomenal" or that AD played "great" in our other losses. LB is trying to keep things together until December 15th.

First of all you go 0-11 in the beginning of the 4th qtr that was why they lost this game and I blame LB for putting the fear of GOD in the players who can put the ball in the basket namely Marbury and Q, this team can beat teams like LA. The Knicks have the players who can easily score 30 pts, in a game, but LB has them so tenative and handcuffed because he is worried about turnovers or getting back on defense, they can't play relaxed and have fun. JUST LET THEM PLAY LARRY, JUST LET THEM PLAY!!!!!!!!
THEY WILL WIN IF YOU CUT LOOSE THE LEACH AND LET THEM PLAY!!!!!!!!!!

well at least they have that 2nd qtr to hang their hats on. For about 8 minutes out of the game last night Marbs was impressive running the Offense.

Difference in the game.

1 teams star came out pumped after the half and his team fed off it, the other teams star came out with the familiar look and spunk of a tortoise.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!
