Not watching that game but Berger weighed in.
Ken Berger‏@KBergCBS8m
They just made the free taco announcement at Staples, in the event the Lakers hold the opponent under 100. I think the tacos are safe

Dallas/Denver is a battle. Mavs are out of the playoffs I believe but they are playing with a ton of pride.

Iggy misses a three at the buzzer. Vinsanity was back tonight. Guy played like he was a Raptor.

Metta does not look like a guy that came back 41 days early from a torn meniscus.

I'm rooting for the Lakers. Kobe is still one of the most entertaining players & personalities in the NBA, not to mention one of the best, and I want to see him in the playoffs.

Kobe back after a time out but not a lot of lift on his shot. Ride him like Secretariat?

Kobe is limping now. Announcers saying it is his foot not his knee.

D'Antoni not taking a hobbled Kobe out.

I think Kobe just ruptured his achilles. On TNT they said D'Antoni is playing Kobe too many minutes. He played him 48 minutes against Portland and Kenny along with Charles said he can't keep playing him this many minutes or else he will get injured. Charles specifically said this is why you're the head coach citing the Shannahan RG3 situation in that you appreciate your Star's will to want to play through pain but you got to pull him. Kenny followed up said he understood why D'Antoni was playing him heavy minutes... because he's trying to make the playoffs.

Well I hope it was worth it D'Antoni because Kobe was grabbing the back of his ankle and limping like someone you may never see play again. I think his achilles is shredded. Kobe is a Warrior, he sunk both free throws, all net.... crippled to the line and limped off the court to the locker room. I hate Kobe, but that dude is no joke. He played through pain all game and was coming up clutch until DAT ankle said no more.

This wouldn't be the first time D'Antoni ran a player in the ground.

This was his third injury of the game. Each time it looked serious. After the second injury he missed one or both of his free throws and wasn't putting weight on his hurt foot when he shot. One announcer initially said he didn't think Kobe would be able to shoot the free throws. Kobe never came out of the game. He played with a limp and things eventually seemed to loosen up. Mike was playing for the playoffs in NY and couldn't play the rooks all year the year he won 24 here. The guy doesn't get it on so many levels. Not sure if the lakers move on now or 'rebuild' with mike d. Also do they amnesty Kobe?

You called it Crush...With that said, you never want to see a player go out like that. Say what you want about Kobe's personality and shot selection, but dude is a warrior and deserved better.

Wow. Devastating. Kobe showed a ton of heart and competitive spirit last night, but IA. As the coach, you've got to pull a 34-year-old who is already banged up. Even if his name is Kobe Bryant.

For the past two games, Bryant had refused to sit a minute.

Wait, what? Who was even bashing D'Antoni? I said that as a coach, you have to pull a guy who is already banged up. Especially a 34-year-old, even if his name is Kobe.

That's bashing D'Antoni?

And, let's be clear: if I wanted to bash Mike D, I would. That was NOT me bashing him.
