Does he have it in him though? He is friends with these guys for a long time.

The spurs got rid of him. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

but we really need Brunson to be more efficient, cant we win this with him shooting so poorly?

I know a guy who bet big online on OG winning Finals MVP

Need to force feed the offense to KAT next game. Wembitch needs to work on defense.

So many unforced TO's, we simply weren't sharp.

Spurs are getting a favorably whistle, 27 fouls against us in the 2nd half, only 8 against SA. You can't tell me we are fouling that much more when SA has really been the more physical team and picking up Brunson full court almost every time up.

Spurs being low key dirty, especially Wemby... I mean not even low key with him, the hits on GTA & Brunson, I'd love to see him try that on OG or Mitch. Not only were NIETHER called flagrants, neither were even called fouls at all. Refs conveniently didn't see either. Part of me feels like Wemby is playing with different rules b/c he's the new golden boy in the NBA. But his play has been a disgrace at times.

They didn’t guard Towns with Wemby at all last night. When Wemby is roaming there simply is no path for the Towns facilitator actions. Those action rely on cutters and nobody can score when Wemby is patrolling. This will be a jump shooting series for us to win IMO. Landry, Deuce, Mikal are critical to chip in a couple 3s each.

But we definitely went away from ball movement. Knicks looked shaky will the ball from the opening tip. Couldn’t make simple passes, everyone throwing the ball away, I think that set the tone for everyone to leave Brunson on an island more than usual. Saw so many possessions where Brunson or someone else was getting smothered and nobody came to screen or help facilitate a good possession.

Good points. My understanding is the Knicks want more spacing and want Brunson and everyone else who penetrates to spray the ball out. My take is Jalen is dribbling into trouble and consuming too much time.

That said we need to counter. Maybe some pick and pops w KAT? KAT needs to take more shots and touch the ball A LOT more.

I’m not a fan of retaliating. Too risky. Our luck is we get a flagrant 2. Instead media and social media need to embarrass the league w facts/ clips.

I loved the way brown handled the presser. He complimented the spurs for being a great team. He admitted the Knicks fouled. And simply said they fouled too.

Through whatever channels he should also be saying this is 3 games now when u factor out the hack a Mitch fouls. The funny thing is fouls re harder and more blatant on JB and Towns and not called than they are on Mitch

Im mostly in line with your thinkning. Retaliate has risks. If SAS is doing this to intimidate and knock knicks off its pace.
Its was to be expected. Losing composure has a down side.

I would expect non public disclosure complaints to Albert Sanders Jr. with Video of egregious fouls deemed not called. He is in charge of replay center and referees.

social media and media need to replay wembys f1 on Brunson 50 billion times and bring up the issue; also on Jose. Silver wants to protect the brand, and it needs to be exposed as sketchy because it is

It’s happening, but as with anything social media, it’s just staying there and generating the expected “dirty as okc” posts followed by the “eliminate the Knicks however you can” garbage.

It is what it is: we have to show we are above that but play our brand. I hate it when, for example, Brunson plays the tough guy and says to “move on” but the during the game he lets all that get into his head and pushed the hero ball. They are definitely playing good defense on top of their illegal hitting, but even with all that we were able to get into runs and the game was up for grabs in the final minutes.

We can win this series even with the dirty Spurs and refs tactics, but we need to have the composure of true champs to get it done.

This is the first shot an opponent lands on us in a while. We need to get up from it like we did in the Hawks series. We need to respond in a big way and for however angry I am about the whistle and allowed violence, I agree in the end that it’s better for us to play our brand and not fall for what they are doing. But don’t allow it either, be smart and if you can get a few blows on the moment, why not.

This is where DDV would have been important. Cause you know he wasn't going to let these fools hit us like that. Surprised OG hasn't done anything.

This nightmare of a game was not on one thing. It was a combo of everything. The corrupt zebras, the poor play by Brunson and team, the Trump inconvenience, everything. We had such good vibes and momentum with a historical 13 game win streak and that is now gone. The air just feels different now. We gave a young Spurs team believe they can win this now.

Zebras were trash. Clearly Adam Silver gave the order this wouldn't be sweep. Gut tells me he wants Wemby to win so he can be the face of the league.

It's time to put this aura BS about the Garden to bed once and for all. MSG has never been a homecourt advantage. Players today do not get nervous or fazed by it. We were actually the team that came out nervous and unfocused. We couldn't handle the pressure. This tells me we are not ready to be champions.

I'm so disappointed in Brunson. He's ****ting the bed in this series. He's playing like he's more concerned by being Finals MVP than winning a series. He's shooting way too much and just not playing good enough!

Give Spurs credit. They were the aggressor and had an answer for everything we tried to do. They played like the more mature team to start the game and Castle especially showed the moment is not too big for him by making those last two FT's.

Hoping for the best but this game reminded me who is our owner and what team I root for so I'm expecting the worst.

The beauty of it all is that we can turn it all back around with one victory tomorrow night. The 14 game winning streak was sort of an albatross on our back, we need to shake it off and go win another game.

OG never loses his cool.
He did play brilliantly and kept knicks in the game on both ends.
THats what he does. The interior dunks without preening, stare downs.......
Missing FT's by him and Jalen was painful.
We needed anohter miracle and while we kept it close, we came up short.

Dirty play does not a good team make.Hard nose defense is another story. Which we have been playing.
Just have to stop fouling so much.
Cutting down on turnovers, ball movement, making shots and staying connected on defense wins championships! This schoolyard mentality does not.

I just can’t believe lost by 4 points not it would be more how league is protecting the golden boy wemby. Honestly I hate how people from dc showed up and stupid draymond green showed up. We weren’t going to win because the corrupt refs, dumb people from dc showed up, silver and stupid draymond green.

I think the Knicks need to go after castle not wemby I remember in okc series they targeted castle because he is easily triggered. Portland did the same thing target castle foul him hard. Make your fouls count against these ignorant pricks I see right through the stupid phony golden boy wemby I am not impressed by his game.

Deuce is playing bad. Not sure what happened to him. He can't defend because these guys are bigger than him. He can't create. His spacing is also horrible. He looks like a space cadet out there.

Last night was gross and the world is talking about it on social media . The blatant missed flagrant calls one that they actually looked at … but then to call Brunson on a flagrant when he game him plenty of landing space…

The big deal is that it’s now 2 games in a row the refs have favored the spurs blatantly in the second half …

We were in the penalty early got Brunson to sit for the last 4 min in the 3rd …

It’s fine to call a tight game but it has to be called that way for both sides … and obviously it hasn’t … and again the world has taken notice. Not just Knick fans the world has taken notice … Adam silvers it’s time to step in and tell the refs to call a fair game …

The way they took control of the second half in game 3 was ridiculous we cracked the code and were up 7 and it was looking like the momentum swung in our favor… but the refs stepped in and secured the win for the spurs and because we are so good they really had to help them . 24 Ft to 8ft

Your telling me the spurs only fouled us 4 times on shots ? In the second half ….

They have to do better Adam silver has to do better make the call and tell them to stop and call a fair game for 48 min .

Now we also need to play better, we gotta hit our open looks and we got to get back to moving the ball through Kat .

Game 4 is now a must win.

The league did not want this series to be a sweep. It's a ratings goldmine and wonderful narrative for the league. Knicks going up 3-0 would have been worst case scenario. Refs did what they could do in game 2 and it didn't work, they did it again in game 3. It should hopefully start to normalize now that they got the sweep out of the way. 3-0 series kills the ratings for game 4 and then cuts the series short. It's a double whammy bad scenario for the NBA. I don't think refs are commanded to do these things but I think they are good soldiers for the league and know what they are supposed to do, within reason.

Getting the Knicks into the penalty with 10 minutes left in the 4th gave them a way to completely control the game by awarding the Spurs FT's whenever they wanted, because there was a foul by both teams on pretty much every play last night, it just depends when they feel like calling one.
