So the next time someone tries to falsely accuse this man (Coach Thibs) of playing his best players "too many minutes"?
Look them dead in the eyes and let them know he's just as "guilty" as just about everyone else (especially the NBA's two All-Time GOATS in Phil Jackson and Gregg Popovich).
SMH 🤦♂️
Your really stretching this out because your bored. I get it. Im also itching to see some basketball. Gotta wait until Friday unfortunately.
But please Name one poster who said thibs plays randle and jalen too many minutes in the 2022/2023 season.
If your going to bring up an old discussion (not sure why or what’s your motivation), why not be accurate? This started with the decline of Thumbs down Randle and RJ who was both in the top whatever in mins played. During that time, Randle was trash (according to 75% of knick fans on this forum) and every thread was calling for his head. RJ was inconsistent of course and declining defensively. All the guys you mentioned are stars and superstars. Randle and RJ wasn’t even all stars. So that’s a bad comparison.
And just because Lebron or Tatum type players can perform well with high minutes doesn’t mean anybody can or should. Some players can perform well in clutch (4th quarter for example) with high mind and those guys are superstars. Others only play solid for 3 quarters. Randle for example is a superstar in the 1st quarter with fresh legs. But come 4th quarter, his performance declines.
But hey, let’s forget we have closure Brunson and we are 6th seed going for 5th seed. Let’s forget thibs and the Knicks are playing the best basketball in most peoples lifetime. Let’s forget hart is undefeated and playing out of his mind. Did I mention how Brunson is putting up superstar numbers and he’s not an all star? Or Brunson is one of the top clutch performers in the nba.
So many great things to congratulate thibs on. What’s the motivation of spending worthless negative energy on something that’s been dead for a long time now. When we now have something so alive. 🤦 I guess some really get off on argumentive topics that nobody is arguing about anymore 🤣.
I still say he plays RJ too many mins, but what does that really mean right now? Thibs to this point has proven to be a solid veteran coach who has a team of young players playing hard on both ends for him (including inconsistent RJ). So many positives to talk about. Where’s those discussions? Come on bro, it’s over. Drink some tea and watch these Knicks led by thibs, hawk down the nets for the 5th seed.
Playing your best player major mins is what got us here and that’s what all coaches do, regardless what fans want or expect. Having Brunson and hart pickup the slack in the 4th is great chemistry. Randle gets us going. Hart maintains that momentum off the bench and Brunson is the closer. Brunson fills that need in crunch time, Randle gets us going in the 1st quarter. It’s beautiful to watch and we are blessed to witness this.
The present is just as beautiful as the future. Much more better than thumbs down Randle led team last year. That Randle doesn’t exist anymore. Last year thibs is not this years thibs. Last years FO is not this years FO. Last years fans are not this years fans. It’s a different team and a different vibe with Brunson the closer on board. Even disagreements between fans are different.
Shout outs to thibs and the FO. Can’t wait to see what the future holds over the next 22 games.
