You could tell by the trades that GM's didn't like what was out there. Boston couldn't even find a taker for pick 3.

extra heavy due to weak draft

Some of these Euros would have gone in the first if they were willing to be stashed apparently. But this is a draft where after the first two picks we have no idea.

IMO Phil is probably pretty pleased with how this worked out. There are a bunch of guys that he's likely already called to bring in.

Yes, and they won't be better than Grant, if they were, they wouldn't be available. I am not against buying a pick to get one of these guys. I would be happy if we did. I won't be bummed if we didn't.

Man, this is going really strange. We have no backup pg, perfect picks there to get at least a future backup.

I totally disagree with your premise here. There are always guys that fall thru the cracks in the draft. Hopefully we find some success with UDFA's.

Gotta jump on one of these two in UDFA.

I agree. There were some real nice options to fortify behind Rose. Barber and Payton II fell all the way through. I would love to get one or the other in here for SL. Surprised we didn't try to buy a pick late -- these late picks were going for cash only. But hey, if Phil gambled that certain players he liked were gonna fall all the way past 60, maybe he guessed right. Hoping he's being aggressive and working the phone right now trying to at least sign up a few of these guys for SL.

Unreal. I really liked him. Kid has a lot of promise. Plus defender, speed, good handle, not a great shooter but not terrible with room for improvement and some serious hops -- this kid like to turn the corner and throw down the left hand hammers on guys. Morey strikes again. He's really up on his young players, I gotta give the man his due.

What is it Phil may not like about Cat Barber? Tremendous scorer's mentality, wicked speed, tight handle, underrated passer -- I mean he was just talking about how important it was to get a attacking guard discussing Rose. That's what this guys is. Man, we're razor thin behind Rose at the point...This kid could be a better version of Monta Ellis, a guy who could score 20 ppg right away in the NBA if a team decided to use him like that. No doubt in my mind. I would love to have Cat Barber.
