wow ... really good numbers though of course early.

He put up good numbers for the Sixers last year. He also is a great locker room guy and loved by his teammates. His Blazer teammates were really upset when he was waived. I like that Phil went for upside versus great locker room presence/easy fit for once with Wroten. Also, I don't know what Wroten is like in the locker room but Frazier is a guy that is praised for his locker room presence.

It really makes me wonder about what Phil thinks of Frazier. It could be his build that bothers him. Frazier is a pretty light guy. Only 180 lbs and not a strong defender. The Kid is very good offensive player to be sure. Just not sure he fits what Phil is looking for.

Most annoying thing for me is that Frazier is healthy and ready to play, and we could have easily found significant playing time for him to see if he's a keeper because we are not a playoff team.

Instead we signed Wroten, who won't play this year.

Phil needing to consider Rambis' future is the real issue here, and signing a non-playing Wroten means that Kurt can concentrate on showing what he can do with players he already knows, instead of having to integrate a new player into the system.

I even wonder if we could have signed Frazier...checked him out, and still signed Wroten in the off season. Wroten had a lot of free time to do things which might have attracted the interest of other teams...but we didn't exactly see a bidding war for his services.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Frazier can play but I think they still have a lot of faith in Jerian as a future 2 way player in this system. Also Wroten is a completely different player than Frazier Physically as well. His role for this team will be both defensive and offensive and Frazier is not the same level of defensive presence as Wroten can be. There is still very much a plan in place for this team going forward, despite what we've seen this year.

Despite having AA and Jose this year it's not a perfect representation of what Phil wants for this team in the final product. When you look at the young players he's been collecting like Early, Thanasis, Jerian, Gallo and Wroten these are more athletic players and I think that's eventually where he wants to go but they have to develop their skills and knowledge of the game and prove they can perform at the NBA level. Otherwise Phil will continue to keep looking for guys. Perhaps this summer he can go after guys like Jennings, Batum or Bazemore.

Frazier and Mccullom are playing well.... what does that really mean for us though? We're we thinking of them as fits for what we are trying to do? We're trying to develop Grant.....guys want to see him get more minutes, but if that's the case why are we complaining about not getting Frazier and Mccullom?

You guys complain just to complain. Wroten hasn't played. The Knicks are trying to protect their asset. I'm sure they have been in constant contact with him and set a list of demands as far as development. There's no reason to get him out there on the floor now. He's not going to play due to the way the Knicks are running their team. Grant deserves the floor time because he's been here and he's been improving.

so if this thread reaches 50 pages, does phil have to pay him at least 5 mill a year? lol

No but it might explain why we don't make 5 mill a year

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Also from what I see guys like Frazier and McCallum are capable but smallish PG's that don't offer any defense. Phil doesn't seem to really want any more guys like that. Taller guards with some defensive potential are much more of what he wants and that's what you see with a Jerian and Wroten. Gallo has the arm length and toughness.

If people could just imagine what the possibilities are if they can be successful developing kids like Jerian and Wroten. You'd have 2 young guards that are 6-4 to 6-6 range with speed length and ability to penetrate but also defend big and small guards. The flexibility could be really good. They have a lot to learn but SO WHAT? This isn't a rush job anyway. KP is so young that it extends the timeline for this process. The same with guys like DWILL, Thanasis and Early.

Why'd they CC Jamal Crawford?

cc-ing Jamal in a post labeled #TurnBacktheClock almoooooost feels like blatant tampering with an impending Free Agent.

I think it's the Seattle, Washington connection and also both having sick handles. Wroten just congratulated JCraw on his birthday a couple of days ago. I hear Wroten is related to Nate too.

I'm real excited at the possibilities with this kid if he can tighten up his game and learn the offense. We'd have some much better uptempo capable guys with him in the mix.

I don't get the 2015.... that needs to be explained. I can't think of a reason they connected that to being a #turnbacktheclock moment.

Tagging Jamal is probably just letting Wrotens mentor see the big moment posted on social media. All the Seattle guys are extremely close. They all train with each other, push each other and praise each other. It's a brotherhood. That's good to see. Dejounte Murray is the next generation of that culture. Look to see him apart of that connection going forward

It was a sloppy tweet. Not well written. I think they messed up the date and didn't mean 2015 at all.

In any event i'm just glad to see the kid in shorts and looking like he's ready to get to work. Makes me excited for the future with the kids we have in development. Now Phil needs to go get Thibs and a couple of good Free Agents!!!
