I'm pretty sure for some here it's just what you wanted to see. This team is going to have better nights than this so why get crazy after one game?
Bubbie, you'll know the basic fate of this team around a dozen games into the season. If they still cannot get stops, it will be one of the worst teams we've had in a long time. If they can get stops, they'll bumble along and grind out an occasional extra win.
But if the defense is porous after a dozen games, it is highly unlikely a miracle player is going to step into the breach and rescue this team this year.
Not with 44 back-to-backs. This is an OLD, OLD, OLD, undermanned team that already is nursing injuries. Whatever good they do will still be sorely tested by their lack of depth pressured by better teams and a rough schedule.
And Fisher is not going to be able to compensate by settling on his best 5-7 players and running them into the ground. That will just produce more injuries.
So expect to see Early, Cole, Wear and such on the floor like tonight due to fatigue, injuries and blowouts.
You'll become a fan of the TANK soon enough.
