It's not like Melo moves that much without the ball to begin with though, at least not in this offense
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

If Noah was on the knicks he would not be moving the ball.

Imagine Melo himself moving the ball like Noah!

I don't want a bunch of JR/Felton heat checks, I want high percentage. I want to see Prigs with a big line up doing a lot of rim snapping / open mid-range shots. Let the guards save their energy for defense and cutting.

He certainly does get credit for it. The thing to look for now is the next adjustment. Thibs will adjust to the zone so I'm looking to see how Woodson responds to that.

Thank you Bill Simmons, all the analysts see it, Chandler is a fraud, only people that defend chandler are the people that don't watch the games and don't know what's going on.

Between Amar'e falling into a stupor and Tyson not giving any real help effort, the defense doesn't stand a chance. Tyson does NOT defend the basket. This MYTH that Tyson protects the rim is crazy. He watches a lot of shots go in the rim but he isn't protecting it.

Exactly. He's been living off reputation for a while now.

Hate to harp on Tyson but he's been a HUGE part of the problem the last 2 years when this team has lost. He's just not as good defensively as his REP has people thinking. He actually plays LAZY BB. He'll move a little and make it seem like he's playing hard, but then when we need him to come over and shut down the lane or make an effort to protect the rim, he often doesn't move. All these points the Bulls have in the paint have been scored with Tyson on the floor.

Gotta say that Woody is partly responsible too, cuz he's not doing anything about it. He's just allowing the team to SUCK game after game. It's crystal clear that this team has at least enough talent to be winning their fair share of games. Not saying they're great, but we're losing with pretty much the core of the team from last year. NO EXCUSE FOR THAT.

Agree. He doesn't look bad in the paper the next day in the box score but he is horrible on the court.

Its about time the Knicks went to a zone. They should have done this as soon as Bargs was traded in the offseason. Then after 30 games into the season and at least after the all star break. 1- 4 match up is nice but I hope they change up in the second half to a 2-3 to mix things up. WHat else do they have to loose.

Agree. I usually don't like this crew. Also, Simmons spot on with his analysis. Glad he is calling out Tyson. Hopefully someone in the NY media follows suit. I am sure it won't be Araton.

I agree, Noah would compliment Melo very much
Chandler is older now, he lacks the mobility and athleticism to provide the help D needed
Also, if he leaves his man, he is unable to recover while no one can help him if he does help, while Noah can do a much better job

Noah has the combination of mobility, athleticism, size/strength, and is actually very skilled, one of the most skilled LEGIT C's in the league today
He can pass, handle the ball, hit a FT distance jumper, post his man up 1v1, makes good cuts, and a very good PnR Center

Noah's ability to pass would be useless on a team where ball movement is a rarity

I could not believe that so many on this board defended the CB amnesty and giving Tyson big money when no other team even made offers.

The CB amnesty was the dumbest starphuck that we made!

Exactly!

JR shooting a 20 foot contested jumper with 17 seconds remaining on the clock?? Coach sux and the players are dumb. Noah would slit his wrists.

Is today the anniversary of Wilt's 100 against us? Why do the Knicks seem so fated to its role as the Washington Generals of NBA history?

I disagree. KMart is always a good passer when healthy and playing. Not Noah but definitely the best passing big the Knicks have.
