You beat me to it. Also, only 762k is paid by the team the rest is paid by the League so they will be making $200k+ in a sign and trade.

Knix eyeing deshawn stevenson
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

When did they really stop?
I think they are just making a few tweaks.
I guess they are worrying about paying for Holiday's contract.
And being able to build a cast before extending him.
They just traded for Dorell Wright.

Don't forget they got 2 1st round picks this year, they got Heat's and their own.
Maybe they have faith in their younger players, with Hawes, Lavoy Allen, Vucecvic, and their picks.
Philly drafted 2 forwards, Moe Harkless and Arnett Moultrie(trade with Heat)

yeah, i mean, they're not blowing it up. but they're clearly taking a step back to let their youth develop. would not be surprised at all if they traded iggy for picks and really young talent sometime before the next trade deadline.

That already have youth and trading for Amar'e would just add 3 mill on top of what Iggy is getting. I know they will not do it but it wouldn't hurt them at all. I think they will just rent a PF this year. A Carl LAndry type and let Young do his thing off the bench. If Portland match Batum I could see them going after Iggy for Derrick Williams and some picks.

Arnett Moultrie is going to be a beast.
He is a younger version of him, they have plenty of PF/C.
They have no need for STAT, that is why they amnestied Brand.

In fact we are the ones that need what Philly has.
We only have STAT and JJ *which isn't lock to return* to play PF

Not sure if it would be enough but the best scenario I can come up with is

Dejuan Blairre

for

1m cash a little under

Jeffries *if we have early bird rights, if not the only other play we have is Baron Davis which probably wont be playing next year*
Gadzuric

Other possible candidate
=========================

Anthony Tolliver - really would like to acquire him, think he would fit right in.
Gadzuric + 1m cash, could give him a starting salary of a little over 2m,

Dahntay Jones seems steep but I he is a solid defender, 2.9m is a decent contract that Pacer's might want to cut some salary.
He is probably our most realistic scenario, to save Pacers some $ and unload his contract

Earl Watson

Gary Neal not sure if Spurs would trade him

Picks that we won
------------------------
our next 2nd round pick is 2016 that we own and possibly Celtics top 55 protected next summer

If Houston left us 1 2nd round pick or/and Jorts/Jordan we would have something to work with.
Instead, they will probably cut Jordan and we lose the ability to trade him just so Camby could get like 500k more or cause Morey wanted both Jorts and Jordan

If Houston left us something, we could at least put a legit offer for Kidd, to give Dallas back SOMETHING, and then still have the min MLE to use.
Otherwise we must attach Gadzuric with JJ, Baron Davis, and I don't think we can use Bibby but that article said we could.

We might just wind up waiving Gadzuric, use vet min deals, and undrafted players/D leaguers

After Houston acquires Gary Forbes I would look to do a Gadzuric for Forbes swap, they rid his salary so they can make their blockbuster move and we get out Shooting Guard

Actually using Davis or Bibby would get the knicks around over 3 mill back in salary and the key to why that is appealing for a team is because the Knicks would use their 1 mill to pay the contract since only 762k is required from the team. However, if they find a team that wants Jeffries they could get more maybe even over 4 mill back.

Sending out any of JJ/Baron/Bibby would meander second rounders going out. Well Biby can still play bench minutes. So maybe the best option, not sure Jeffries is valued highly outside of NY.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

U want to trade jeffries? Without Harrelson i think we kind of need him. Camby is always hurt. Good chance that we need him to play 25 minutes for at least 20 games. I thought he played real well before he got injured. hopefully Camby will have his injury before the playoffs. For once Id like a full team healthy at the end of the season

I kinda doubt the Knicks send out JJ, but the 1 place where he might be valued IS Indiana, that's his hometown.

I would guess that if the Knicks do this deal, they would include Baron and $ to pay his salary; he aint playing this year and it would pocket him cash too.

Mo Evans is like Landry Fields... except he can shoot the 3. not a bad pickup.
