With that being said, Amare is a liability to the team. He has nice mid range jumper, but should be instructed to cut to the basket like Chandler. I understand that whatever injuries he has is limiting his mobility, but the man should move forward to the basket when Jeremy cuts inside!

We can get away with amare but melo just doesn't fit. Now i do think he is trying but he just cant change his game at this point i guess

^ stls for Lin, can he get 10 steals in a game? A quadruple double - has that ever been accomplished by anyone? That would be quite something huh?
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I'm finally numb to tonight's game, but that was some horrible officiating. Seemed like the Nets got the benefit of the doubt every call and non-call (except the one charge that should have been a block on Jeffries...).

That said, we were just flat tonight, can't make a habit of sleeping against the cellar dwelling teams...that's the old Knicks.

Amar'e missed several open jumpers. Chandler had an unusually dumb game. Seems like there were more than a few times tonight one of the two would have a rebound and just lose it.

Can't sugarcoat Lin's game tonight either, a rare bad outing. Forced a few too many shots, tacked on a few empty points at the end. Novak finally looked human on the perimeter tonight as well.

I expect to see Melo get criticized for losing immediately on return, but the only thing I really fault him for tonight is not being aggressive enough. Seemed like he was too worried about fitting in with the team and didn't look for his own number enough. Definitely rusty, missed a few layups, but tell me that first pick and pop between Lin and Melo didn't make you smile. He'll be ok.

Very glad to see Baron make his debut. Not too happy his first shot was an isolation 3.

At least both Boston and Milwaukee lost tonight.

Oh...and Kris Humphries is a punk. (Ok, so I'm only mostly numb.)

Clean wrote:The worse thing from tis game is that we played a different offense then what we were playing the past 9 games. We used to have PNR after PNR until the defense broke down. I saw one PNR and if that did ot work we ISO'd melo or Amare. If Melo and Amare are not going to play th roll of chandler and Walker then we will lose.

Teams are ganme planing vs. our pick and roll. It the same thing that happened against the Hornets. Twams are going to trap or double Lin off the pick and pack the paint to prevent penetration from Lin. Against he Hornets (which was a lose and Melo didn't play btw) we couldn't buy a jumper and we lost. We made our jumpers against the Mavs and won. Tonight, the Nets packed the paint and we miised our jumpers again.....

I actually think Humpries is just tougher mentally and physically then our guys. Jefferies, Chandler, Stat, Melo were all hitting him all night, but he battled and out hustled us and then Melo like the punk he is tried to trip him and Chandler just got frustrated.

The officials had nothing to do with our loss tonight. We didn't box out out energy was low and we stopped moving the ball. Poor coaching anf bad matchups

Deron as well. Deron was confident and determined. Despite his stat line, IMO Lin played with a bit less confidence and intimidated.

bottom line: if we had shump to put on deron in this game, we win it.

shumpert is one of the best defensive backcourt stoppers in the league and insanely valuable to this team. without him, we lose against toronto and minnesota this past week.

Humphries was impressive. He kept it coming.

They CARVED up Lin tonite. they are taking chunks of skin off him.

Hit the foul shots and we in the game.

Melo's punk move was weak. I hate when he does that.

Melo was just rusty
only took 11 shots good for him, Amare 17

Fact of matter u guys miss is more than 1/2 of those going to hoop soft shots MELO took he will make
not tonite. At least he drives to basket.

Fact is Other than MELO only LIN has GUTs to want big shot for anytime in game
end of 3rd or 4th qtr when game is within reach

None of this you can state about Amare Stoudemire.
you can feed him a pass ..& it goes right through his stupid hands
when he catches one finally & tries to put it on floor its a TURNOVER in the making
since he's flatfooted and slower than molassess unless he's setup for a alley ooop or put back Dunk
which #1 Rarely does these days

Amare is just one of the other guys
