Not sure why he is one you would think as an example for possibly getting overpaid? He was on a 1yr $6mil deal and had a okay yr. Therefore his market value will not surpass that figure. He'll more than likely make less and no one has his Bird's Rights, so no he won't get overpaid as you're anticipating that he will. I say he'll get someone's Non Tax Payer full MLE at most. On a any current playoff team who fits the part, that could be a decent acquisition.

Im eyeing Young as an affordable replacement for Smith if he decides to leave. Young says he wants a long term deal. 4 years at the MLE. A contract similar to Felton's.

Didnt D'antoni have a lot to do with that?

Yeah he said it would be difficult finding playing time for him and keep in mind we were a team headed to the playoffs and ended up not having a healthy roster during the playoffs. Instead he goes to the Mavs helps them in a couple playoff games. Then Denver acquires him I believe along with Rudy Fernandez for low 2nd rd picks....

lolmnop!!!!!!

One of the many reasons you can't take D'AnToni too seriously as being a mastermind on the bench. There are too many things he totally whiffs on as a coach. Brewer is a Top 5 if not Top 3 bench player in the league oh and.....

He even has more NCAA Championships than Carmelo...you know because NCAA Championships Are The End All Be All To Greatness.....Yo Son Ya Heard?.....Word!

Didn't Melo only play 1 year of college ball?

And?

He managed to get 2. He could have went pro that year but they all elected to return, to repeat..... and got it done. You're acting as if Melo stayed at Cuse he would have won chip after chip until he turned pro. Point is, when listing all of what Carmelo has done on the NBA level cats try and be slick inserting his NCAA accomplishment(which has nothing to do with his NBA career btw)..... well Brewer's got 2 chips and was MOP during their 2007 run. A guy we simply wrote off as nothing even Knick fans at the time of his waiving were defending the move.

I don't think many Knick fans wrote off Brewer. Not even sure if Walsh would have written him off it wasn't for Mike D. D'Antoni sucked eight days a week. Part of the reason this year and every game since his resignation has been awesome.

troll. I see what you're doing. GO cheer up Gallo and his torn ACL. He'll definitely need your support. I'm guessing you probably didn't even watch the game either since the Rockets/Warriors/Nuggets weren't playing tonight.

Who are you talking about?
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Yeah I always heard Brewer was a solid defender and he would really help us. D'antonis the one who wrote him off.

I can be straight out and say I hate carmelo chasing points, but i know how sensitive some of you are.. I am entitled to that opinion.. if you don't like it, then treat it like you do everything else you don't like.. avoid it...

Well then post your opinion in the Game Thread and not this thread. This thread is the "Other Games" thread for a reason.... discuss Jeremy Lin, James Harden, Steph Curry, David Lee, Gallo, Chandler, and whoever on this thread.

Post your opinions on Melo in the game thread, where it's more relevant.

People often go off-topic at times. It happens. Why don't you let the moderators do the moderating?

It's not about moderating. It's about being a coward and not posting your true opinions about Melo or others in the Knicks game thread. I know TKF mentions he doesn't want to instigate on the game threads, but posting your opinions on this thread is just being a coward.

Sorry, not trying to backseat mod, just telling the truth. And I've known TKF long back from the RealGM days too, so nothing personal either.

HONESTLY if i posted that there, guys like yourself would have gone off course like this and derailed the thread.. in all fairness I didn't want to do that there. I actually avoid the game threads because I know how any type of negativity or even objectivity is often not allowed there it seems.. so I stay away.. yet you still find a problem.. maybe you should stay out of threads like this.. just saying.. i dunno....

very true and honestly bonn, i avoid the game threads because I know how any kind of negative post will derail that whole thread, and I just want to avoid that.. so I post here and yet it is still a problem with some.. go figure...
