This one's kinda on Rudy no? Randle's gonna zip you the ball but he was wide open under the basket. That said they were already down 5 with like 3 seconds left so who cares?

Both of them also need to be managed by coaching staff or other players. It's time and energy and can cause teams to go into spirals.

It's like an unwanted surcharge that you can avoid but don't.

I think the Knicks always understood this and that's why they stood by Randle, to get the best out of him. But everyone has their limits. Same with the crazy ex who is god level in bed, right?

Great point! When Randle struggled and was frustrated with himself, team and fans Thibs stepped up and said he had to coach him better and create opportunity for him to succeed.

Doc rivers left Simmons out to dry. It was a bad look. Simmons was a pass first type player. Granted, im sure Rivers was super frustrated by him and that he did not execute the play. Perhaps Rivers could not get thru to Simmons and elevate his game who was hard headed given his immaturity and self entitlement. That and a Kardasian affair. But they drafted him, they gave him the contract, so it was a union! Blame to both team/coach and Simmons for not growing up.

On the outside looking in Simmons and Embiid don't have a love for the game or pain tolerance to endure what is needed both physically or mentally to handle it.
Philly instead should have bent to Jimmy butler and build around him. Trade market for Simmons at that moment was respectable.

What is it about Philly? The process was a disaster, Butler was not retained, they had good a good coach in Brett Brown but bailed on him, Doc is a good coach but he polarized his players, especially Ben Simmons who at the time faced a crisis of confidence and instead of rebuilding him and support, they scapegoated him. What the hell happened with Harden? On the surface he was fat, lazy and flat out abstinent there. But he put up numbers.
See the pattern? Butler walked away from that **** show. What the hell is it about that place? Change GM's don't change it? Coaching don't change it. Embiid is a top talent and he is either pulling down the franchise or they are to him (he does grab ankles as we know). Is it ownership? Morey? The dude gets the talent in the door.
I get Jimmy Butler who was at the height of his powers having blown up in Minny and perhaps was too much in the locker room. Over and over the circumstances are not a clear pattern.

The blame game on this franchise is not easily pointed to given the complexity and layers. Clearly Embiid is the choice given his contract, stature, and talent. The narrative around him has often been "he is too aloof" thus gets labeled all kinds of things. They are not wrong. Just amazing that outside of Butler, they chew guys up like Fultz and Michael Carter Williams, and Simmons (all no. 1 picks in the draft mind you!) and grind them down.

Blame? what to do next? Fuck if this knicks fan cares. Starts with ownership. You don't extend max contracts with them. Morey will be the poster child at some point. Thats part of the job.

Ownership and Embiid. Starts at the top.

After watching KAT thrive again offensively, not having to play next to Gobert, I'm more inclined to give Gobert as much of the heat. Randle's got his issues too, but come on, you got Jakob Poeltl trying to guard him on the perimeter. Get out of the way. Gobert doesn't have the offensive game to score on Barnes in the post. Notice who Ant Edwards is shouting at.

They were down 3 pts. Only hope was a 3pt shot, and one, then get a miss to make up 5 pts.
Was Randles shoulder body language because they lost a game they could have won?
Or is that not sexy enough for click bait.

"A Rudy problem". A blogger doing video.
they have a problem any center has that does not have range.
How do knicks with Simms and Mitch deal with it?

Did he say an " inefficient midrange jumper" ? Well Randle has got that part of the game covered. In spades. Many times it results in a foul. Would they want to bring him back after that dustup with Thibs? I’ve read some Marcus Smart trade rumours. Smart would give us the energy, attitude, off the bench we lost when Divo was traded. He also knows Boston’s game well.

I saw a recent shot chart for Randle and he's been at about average efficiency, except from of the three points corners.

They have a similar problem. Their offense goes to top 10 with Rudy off the court, but their defense remains respectable when he's on the court. The obvious answer would be to play Naz Reid more, but his defense has been baaaad. Donte and Conley also aren't hitting, which compounds the Gobert spacing issues. Of course it's early. But it is the West, so they don't have all the time in the world to figure it out. The Knicks have been shooting well. A four out offense should still work with Mitch Preciou and Sims crashing the boards.

Smart 30% from the field this year.

But you want to bring DDV back with his numbers? Might just need a change of scenery, and his defense would be a big plus.

Knicks got Deuce, they don’t need or want a broke ass player whose better days are behind him.

I’d still trade Deuce and Mitch for a legit 6th man.

Why isn't Deuce is a legit 6th man? Im not sure how many player in the league you're gonna find that are better bench scorers - and certainly one of the best defenders off the bench. He has one garbage game against Houston this year but otherwise has had some great performances off the bench.

Not saying Deuce sucks, had some big games in the playoffs, when he wasn’t well known. But he doesn’t get to the rim often, doesn’t get to the line often, passes up open teammates to shoot. Not good at finding open teammates. Mitch and Deuce might get us a player who checks more boxes.

On the Roommates podcast I believe they said the back and forth with him and Thibs was playful but the back and forth at the end of the game between him and Rick Brunson went a bit too far but they squashed it that night. The Nova boys and Brunson family are like family so its not that serious.
