Was bopping around Iceland for 12 days with Mrs Nalod. Rented a car and did a lot of hiking. Amazing landscapes to behold. recommend it for those that like adventurous vacations.

Do you mean in general or this debate in particular? I thought the moderators did a good job of fact checking Trump while at the same time giving him plenty of opportunities to clarity or retract his positions. The head shot for me was Trump saying that he was invited to speak on Jan 6 and had nothing to do with it. What a total load of bull****!

General. He should be laughed off as a whack job felon that he is. That's what normal countries and communities do.

its Europe so the food is great. Tourism is about 8% of GDP so they got this down.
Locak beer was excellent and they have a few Icelandic. Food in hotels was very expensive but high end restuarants, and we ate in a few good ones was not too far off.
If you consider they don't require tipping it brings it inline. Great lamb, horse steaks (I know) and the fish was great. Cod was excellent! Firmer when fresh. WOlf Fish and Atlantic Char was great. I lost 5 lbs and I went off my normal diet to indulge! Bread and Icelandic butter is special.

Been to 39 countries and we enjoy trips with visceral experiences. Hiking glaciers, SNorkal with warm suit in 38 degree water in crevasse that one can touch the european and north american plates, see incredible waterfalls, go inside a glacier, caves, boat for whale watching, zodiac boat to catch floating icebergs....etc. Crazy wind storms, snow, rain, and sunny days. All in 12 days!!! 9 hotels in 11 nights and I drove 1800 miles. We had a blast. Have to be adaptable to weather and have the right gear to deal with elements. It was not harsh this time of year. It was not inexpensive but there are other ways to cut costs. We stayed in premium hotels (Not luxury).
Price of Gasoline, which is one grade offered was 95 octane and was over $9 a gallon! But, had a smallish hybrid, and the speed limit is 90km, or 55mph.

It was an adventure. Mrs. Nalod and I have a blast together and shared a great time. Not a trip for everyone.
