I think from a chemistry perspective, Obi is a better fit since he doesnt need to dribble the ball to impact the game. With DMitch on board, that;s another player in the starting unit who is more affective on the ball. Randle doesnt impact the game playing off the ball. And I dont see Obi and Randle coexisting on the same team under Thibs.blkexec wrote:Are you seriously saying that Randle's contract is so bad that we need to eat it by dumping the contract/buying out the results?Uptown wrote:Yes they trade 1 to dump 2. Basically dumping Westbrick and Randle. This opens the PF for Obi. Hopefully with Miami out, Ainge is forced to accept what we give him, just to save face. I wouldnt be surprised if DM has already scoped out a place to live.GustavBahler wrote:Westbrook is probably bought out in this scenario...blkexec wrote:Please, no Westbrook. Where has it worked?MaTT4281 wrote:Yeah sorry Grimes and Cam will be gone. Not sure if the lakers take both Randle and EF for Westbrookblkexec wrote:If I read between the lines sounds like after the Donovan trade, they will trade some combination of Randle a player for Westbrook.Looks great, but how we getting Mitchell without giving up any of RJ, IQ, Obi, Grimes, or Cam? I'm not talking about Obi v Randle. |

![]() If we are able to acquire Spider, I think we do not need a player of Randle's skillset and usage tbh. Spider, Brunson and RJ should be the scorers and primary ball handlers and initiators on offense. We just need the PF and rest of the frontcourt to run the floor, catch and shoot, rebound, defend and do all the little things. Randle cannot do that and won't be happy doing that.
