Even though I was born and mostly raised in Brooklyn, I think I can understand why there were so many Yankee "haters".
It is crazy here in Germany, The Nürnberg team played in the same league as the Munich team but the money Munich spent was even more disparate than the money
the Yanks spent compared with the bottom teams (financially). I mean that Munich team rarely if ever even loses.

Thing is that the people forget that this is based on great management not any mogul spending his pocket money like at Chelsea or Paris.
Munich has only started to be such a powerhouse because they are constantly playing international competition and earn some money and building the brand to something overregional.
Munich is build as a rock solid club... actually I would compare it to the spurs in the NBA.
Lots of homegrown talents as well!

Teams like Nürnberg just dont have a fanbase outside franconia which reduces their financial potential.
Augsburg did a great job building on such a base lately. Mainz did it the years before.
Generally the Bundesliga has great quality and depth.

I think Germany may be able to take out Brazil. Neither team has looked solid. I had my hopes for Colombia. I wanted them to win and exorcize the memory of Escobar

Colombia couldve won today if they had stuck to their gameplan, but they werent that active in the first half and Brazil came motivated to win.
