I can't wait to see this team down the line when we work everyone in and get even more chemistry. I felt strong about this team and after seeing them against a legit defense, I like how they look even more. The lesson learned is don't go into a season without PG's and Glen definitely learned how important it is to have PG's.

Exactly....And thats what you call a coach without an ego who is not married to one-way of playing. For as much as we knocked MDA for his lack of detailed attention on the defensive end, and not catering his O to the personnel, he usually did a good job of spacing the floor. Obviously, Woodson has incorporated that to some extent. Nothing wrong with incorporating the best elements from an offensive guru aswell as taking from a defensive mastermind in Brown and mixing all together.

My only concern is, if you really want to be an elite defensive team, you cant be too reliant on the 3-ball, especially on an off night. Those long rebounds will kill your transition D.

The Heat are front runners. If you put up a legit fight and make it hard on them you have a chance. If you relax even for a minute they'll run over you. Trust me they weren't just letting the Knicks beat them. The Knicks D was legit. Did you see our PG's fighting over picks and blowing up all their offensive attacks? They wanted to do what they do to everyone, but our entire team defended hard and made them take shots they didn't want to take.

No we won't beat the Heat by double digits every time but this was a legit win. Rarely does any team come into the Garden and not try hard to win. They all love the stage.

the heat don't respect us, the seemed somewhere else last night..... knicks won.. yea.. but hey, they beat boston first game of the season last year too...

They didn't respect us last year as well and still seemed to always beat us handily. So whats the point?

I actually watched more of the rockets game vs the hawks... knicks are still boring to watch.. sorry.... one win vs the heat is no longer the standard.. sustained winning is what we should be looking for.. I want to see us come out and wax the sixers... playing a sloppy game vs the sixers will be taking 10 steps backwards.. we got a bit fortunate that other guys hit shots. but watching carmelo shoot 10-28 was not fun..
