This is amazing. I was wondering what happened on that last play and watched it like 50 times to see if Mitch got a finger on it down low. Yay for KAT!!! Wins game w defense

Caught a clip on Facebook showing KAT motioning those two fans on the sideline closer to Harper to crowd the inbounds. Home court advantage, and I love that KAT was savvy enough to take advantage.

He is turning into Kawhi without the 1-on-1 capability. OG got like at least 2-3 years left at OG elite level too

I can't believe what I witnessed last night. Crazy we might win the Finals without even playing a good, complete game. Just scratching and clawing our way through the Finals with grit.

I really hope OG gets Finals MVP if we win it all. He's kind of been the guy who there was always some level of low key grumblings and discontent about his overshadowed role. It would be amazing to see him get the recognition with FMVP.

There are so many ebbs and flows to every basketball game and over the course of a season, you have a hot streak, then a cold streak, then another hot streak etc. Sometimes it takes rock bottom on the cold streak to find another hot streak (falling behind 2-1 in round 1, 2-8 stretch, etc). I am pretty hopeful the Knicks hit their mid-series rock bottom last night, the Spurs rode out their hot 6 quarter hot streak and have a dip next game, while the Knicks play their most complete game of the series and close it out.

BUt.........Champs have to over come this. Its part of a path. Part of adversity.
Refs could have ****ed us over last night in the comeback. There is so much they an do.
Margins are thin and if you a tema of destiny you have to be better and over come it.
That first half SAS got help, but they were nailing the shots. Refs were not shooting the ball. Spurs were.

At the same time Knicks winnig this is good for business also.
Game 5 won't be easy.
Im sure Spurs fans are crying "Knicks were dirty".....etc.

What ever, not taking my joy away. Saturday night the trophy will be in the house. There for the taking.

I mean Deuce hasn't scored a single point these last 2 games and 2.8ppg on 20% shooting in the finals. but sure enough Alvarado has stepped up.

Deuce just isn't a PG, its why he won't get a big contract IMO. nice 3 & D guy but a tweener.

Deuce is the one easily tradable contract that has overlapping talent if the Knicks bring back Shamet and if they want to do something different. And it's a position that they need more ball handling as that is the one area the Knicks can be taken advantage of.

Yep.

What's better for the NBA, the players, TV, merchandizing, etc., 4 games or more than 4 games?

agreed, and maybe his best value to us is just running it back 1 more season with him, even if he ends up leaving for nothing.

Depth gave us the luxury of not having everyone needed to light it up. Deuce looks small out there vs. a very talented but young spurs team.

As said, win a chip vs. not is different mind set for the offseason.
Lose: How do we get better? At what price?
Win: Repeats are not probable for many reasons in the era of parity. My guess is we run it back for a victory lap but with an eye on the future. How that gets done? I have no idea. If you keep it long for nostalgic feel good the enevitable will occur.

100% agree. They need a high level backup guard who can take ball handling duties and hit shots. If you could combine Deuce and Alvarado it would be a perfect match, but not sure either guy is the long term answer for that role. But it's a key role to address in the offseason.

Knicks need to get better next year, the road will be tougher most likely. Boston, Indy, DET with some added pieces, wherever Giannis goes, all on track to make the East road tougher next year. SA and OKC will be lurking on the other side. Knicks need to make some tweaks to the bench next year IMO. Deuce's spot, 3rd string reliable C, and bigger forward off the bench are big roles to fill. Some may potentially be filled internally or through the draft, but not sure the same exact rotation is what we will need to get it done next year.
