But I don’t think this one will be streaming any time soon. Avoiding spoilers is going to be impossible.

A masterpiece as far as these type of movies go. Highly recommend.

Just saw the Matrix. Should have stayed home. Not bad, but mediocre. I've been stanning hard for Jessica Henwick since that Iron Fist debacle and she didn't disappoint. Hated the ending. I'd say watch at home.

Some really entertaing things on Netflix lately...
Just finished watching "Cowboy Beebop" - never watched the Anime series before and still REALLY thought the new real live show is good! Very fun and the music is the cherry on top!
The Witcher Season 2 has acutally been more than decent! The first season was a little moot I thought but the cast and story really performed well now! So also if you are into Fantasy, something to watch!

I personally loved Dune - amazing time watching it in the cinema - Timothy Challamet is a very good actor (actually another Netflix movie to watch "The King" - where he is exceptional!)
The new Bond honestly was a BIG disappointment to me... just not a Bond movie from the feel to me!
The Last Duel... hmmm... just watched it on Disney+ and really gotta say its been so-so at best... just did not catch me!

Now next up these days - Spiderman in the cinema on the 26th and Eternals on Disney+ on Jan 12th. I missed that one in the cinemas...

Other than that... HAPPY Xmas guys!!! Keep sane in these stressful times!!! I really hope that this Omicron thing is turning out to be a blessing in disguis because if not we are ****ed!

I watched the Cowboy Bebop anime several times and I can say the live action show didn't quite live up to it. The Netflix show is mediocre while the anime is one of the all time greats. I'm diving into the Witcher now. I thought season one was solid. I agree, Dune was good. Honestly, you could make a trilogy just using the first book, so I appreciated the movie's pacing. Also, it might be the most visual striking movie of the year.

Ive read Dune and seen original and thought the new version was meh. There was sooo much potential there and I just couldn't get into it

I think a problem Dune faces is that several popular science fiction movies, including Star Wars, have taken ideas from it and it's tough to do a straight retelling without audiences thinking it's unoriginal. That and the book the first book is friggin long. One criticism I have is that I feel the should've chosen a better ending point. Also, I think they could've done a better job explaining spice's importance. Yeah, space travel is the major reason, but spice is important to nearly every trade and sect in the universe for varying reasons.

Just finished binging the Witcher S2. Thumbs up! Also, you should watch the animated movie on Netflix before starting season 2. It fills in a lot of backstory and is also very good. I think I'm going to chill and steer clear of the movie theaters for a bit. I'm hopeful things will look better by the time Batman comes out.

My last hoorah before omicron numbers really explode…

Used my theater’s website to find a sparsely populated showing of Spider-Man. Took a few days to find one.

Double-masked it, including a tight fitting N95 mask. Vax + boost.

9 out of 10. You won’t hear any spoilers from me. Made me feel feelings.

A welcome return to “normalcy” for a couple of hours.

The Knicks and the MCU are heavy hitters for me the last 2 years.

Raised by Wolves, HBO.

Just finished season 1 and my first thought is… WTF DID I JUST WATCH?!? But in a good way, I think.

Season 2 arrives next month.

Recommended if you like sci-fi.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to S2. Starts off very slow, but picks up and then ends on a WTF! cliffhanger. I know Ridley Scott is only the executive producer but it's got his fingerprints all over it. A good watch if your into hard science fiction.
Peacemaker is effin' awesome. It's got the usual James Gunn quirks, but it definitely takes a different path than the other comic book television shows that have been released the past year.
Lastly, The Righteous Gemstones is just outright funny. Imagine Succession, but with Kenny Powers from Eastbound and Down in the Kendal role.

Anyone watch Yellow Jackets? Was it any good?

And speaking of yellow- is Yellowstone worth watching? (I loved the Sicario films)

I didn’t care for Peacemaker character in Suicide Squad movie, but the Peacemaker series is changing my mind.

Oh, and Jennifer Holland is HOT!

I wouldn't call it garbage, but aggressively mediocre. I haven't seen the last episode yet, but several people have told me I'll like it. I will say Jennifer Beals looks really good for 58.
