I also thought the game was well-coached. Normally, you wouldn't even consider JR there but he was so hot that riding him was the best choice without Carmelo there.

Smith needs to drive to the hoop more, really.

JR Smith was 2-8 in the 4th quarter before the game ending play. He wasn't hot at all he was ice cold.

We put up a good fight. We loss and I feel that if every player have that feeling of importance in the game we will win a lot of games. I wish I knew the real story about Copeland. One thing for sure a team next season will grab him and make him a good player in this league just like some of the other young players we dumped. Woody have his pets and if he keep going the way he is going his pets will get him fired. If we don't get out of the first round Woody is gone. And here comes Ewing and Oakley as Coaches.

I read his coach in Europe had to yell at him non stop to get him to produce which Copeland said helped him as a player but it sounds like Woody is going through the same thing here. Not sure what the deal is either, sounds like he tunes his coaches out.

I was upset that they took a timeout w 38 seconds instead of pushing the ball w the 5 guys who has just earned the stops- they were playing with exeptional energy- I like that part of the game a lot - KMart was infectious- I think it woke the team up on the defensive end and took pressure of them too -I think he will continue to do that- I would be VERY happy with those quality and # minutes out of him- it's exactly what we need. I think that's my bigger take out of the game than iso-rage.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

JR carried us against OKC. Woody put the ball in his hands and he missed the shot. What is everyone so angry about?

Two reasons. First, JR carried us in the 2nd and 3rd quarters but he was ice cold in the 4th. Leading up to the last play he was only 2-8 from the field. Second, even if he was still hot it's still a bad play. Clearing out and running and iso with 8 seconds left is a bad play no matter who the player is, running it for JR, a talented player with the basketball IQ of a bag of rocks, so he can take a turnaround fadeaway jumper from 20 feet is especially terrible.

Yeah but JR can go from ice cold to super hot in a hearbeat. Considering who was on the court I had no problem with putting the ball in his hands. No doubt it was a terrible shot but Woody is normally good at calling plays out of a t.o. Who knows what the play actually should have looked like.

The play was actually for JR to drive it to the hoop. Was in an article on the front page yesterday. For whatever reason, JR settled for a 17ft shot.
I know he is good at that shot, but VCoug is right on in that he was cold at the end. JR should have went for the drive and foul. We also had a lot of time on the clock.

He hit that same shot for the game winner a few games back, I remember. But still, driving with time on the clock was a better decision, and the called play.

Not off the wrong shoulder just slightly off balance. Big difference facing the basket and fade away and shooting off the wrong shoulder with ur back to the basket

I mean that the last shot is your shot to take because you're the hot guy all game, so how you do it is on you, JR SWAG left it all out there for us, for one night he was a Knicks hero, almost

Only here does a Grade A scrub like Copeland get overhyped.

JR Smith FT%: .765 He had been to the line once the whole evening. 2 for 2.

Just maybe JR didn't want to be standing at the line for the game shooting 77%? We're not talking about Alan Houston here.
Now who's as smart as a bag of rocks?
