i don't think anyone doubts that neither had great games.. or at least shouldn't.. what some are doubting is impact... carmelo over 9 years is pretty much what you see.. a good streaky scorer... I can say his play has never inspired me, and his lack of leadership is troubling... lin for a moment gave hope for what could have been, he took a bunch of "role" players and a couple of starters and had them playing at a high level.... too bad we will never get to see it play out...

If you don't like our current players and coaches then leave our board. I'm sick and tied of all the cry babies. All you do is come on our board and complain. Houston has fan forums too.

I agree. I think I am going to take a break from this board till the regular season starts because all the whining is simply atrocious.

Seriously, it's flat out dumb around here.

No matter how much a person may hate a player, to not recognize they helped the team into the playoffs is idiotic.

I'm not a Lin fan by any stretch, but the kid got work done, and carried the team while the stars were away.\

Then when Lin and amare went down, Melo carried the team on his back as well, and got them into the playoffs down the stretch.

How can this seriously be misconstrued? Is the hate that bad?

To be coming on our board and constantly talking about Lin whose no longer here is tired and boring. Why not give our players and coach some credit. A true fan would.

If people keep talking about Lin Lin Lin all the time and not give our players some credit them this is what happens. I don't hear anybody complain when you all talk about how Felton eats everything. You all trash Amar'e and Melo and other players on our team and think it's funny but when the tables turned you're ready to call someone stupid. I will always state my opinion and too bad if you don't like it like I don't like yours.

inifinitilov,

Can't you keep all this crap in one post? I know that all this is some sort of alter ego / tongue and cheek but do you really need to kill these threads with 20 straight posts of drivel?

They both carried role players, that's the whole point.

I don't like Lin, the ball player, but he has talent, I won't deny that, but you can't do the same for other players in particularly Melo who did the same exact thing at a different point in the season.

Give Felton, Camby, Melo, Amar'e, Kidd, and rest some credit where credit is due. Some of you should read your post and you'll see all the negatives. It's typical that you point out other people's faults and not see yours.

what I am saying is that lin brought a dynamic to this team we just don't get from our multi million dollar stars..

Hello? The other players brought dynamics too but some are too busy up in Lin's Azz.

By saying 25 games is not enough of a sample size...but that one game in Miami....you really made yourself look like an a**!

Good post. Without Lin Knicks dont sniff the playoffs and we win 29 games. Yet we let him walk for NOthingNot making the playoffs with a team of melo and amare at 200mil wouldve been a dister

Without Woodson and players like Melo the Knicks don't make the playoffs. Lin helped to beat the useless teams.

as larry brown said.. delusional...

I don't share the same hate as you do for the Knicks as you so I'm delusional. You are sick.

you are delusional.. I don't hate the knicks.. I do have an extremely strong dislike for dolan and his new reclamation project.. carmelo..

what players... chandler doesn't get flak.. he is a fantastic player and person from what I have heard.. he is living up to his end of the deal..

Amare gets credit, heck he had this team with a bunch of young kids at 28-26 before we made the mistake of a trade

kidd doesn't need credit, he is one of the best PG's of all time.. his work speaks for itself..

shumpert gets credit, we love the kid..

why the heck should melo get any more credit than anyone else... what has this guy done in his career to get credit, what has he done for the knicks? except run a coach out of town and issue busch league remarks about one of the teams favorite players... oh and he quit on the team earlier this year... this guy should get credit? for what???
