Camby 38 yrs old and still playing games.

Either agree to the deal or keep it moving.

He's old. One of his last chances to be truly wanted.

If he really wants coverage he should wait until the Dwight trade stuff is over though.

I think it will be either Harrelson and Jordan not both

I hope we are not being Grant Hilled or Steve Nashed...

Someone on realgm pointed out that Amar'e has started following Camby on twitter today- don't know if it means anything. Not going to get my hopes up!

Yeah, I don't know why we need such high salary.
SOmething is UP or he Camby trying milk us for more?

Would love to keep Jorts, I do want to see Jordan in summer leage action too.
But I really miss Camby, 99 Finals wit SPREE

With so many roster spots, get some yoots so they can mentor em, with our PRO VETs.
With some veteran minimum deals....

Dream scenario would be getting Courtney Lee included if all those Knicks players are involved.

Camby is virtually a double-digit rebounder in 20 minutes per game. Giving up all the minor chips for him wouldn't bother me in the least.

All for pisces gets the Knicks up to a little over 7.4 mill back. They better get Camby and Lee for that price. Camby at 3.2 and Lee at 4.2 is fair.

That is the dream! Unfortunately in an NBC sports interview Courtney Lee said if he can't get a good multi year contract (for which celtics seem to be in the lead) he'll likely sign an inflated one year deal with Dallas as they'll have to over pay to meet the nba's minimum team spending.

I can say that the Camby meeting was "very positive" and that i'd be shocked if he didn't sign with the #Knicks. sounds like heat/nets out.

i can count the number of tommy dee reports i've believed on one hand. because that number is zero.

Wouldn't there have to be at least one for you to count it on your hand? Unless you have a hand with zero fingers.

Zero cannot be counted. That's kind of the point.

UPDATE: David Aldridge of NBA.com tweets: "Agent for Rashard Lewis says 'everything went well' w/Heat, but process will continue this week before decision. Hawks, Knicks still in it."

With the Hawks headed into rebuild mode, we have to think that they could be the longshot here for a veteran like Lewis who's looking to play for a contender. And if that's the case, this one will likely come down to Miami or New York.

After flurry out of the free-agent gate, agents beginning to see things dry up for second-tier players. "It's ground to a halt," said one.

Players expecting full mid-level deals are now getting 1- and 2-year offers, agents say. "The money is drying up," said one.

Maybe we can get a steal?

At least they are productive old guys. Camby really put in some good work last year. Kidd mainly uses his head more than his physical body at this point. He plays about as efficient a style as you can get. Kidd has the vision of an NFL QB and just as accurate an arm too. Both Camby and Kidd know how to conserve energy for what really needs to be done. They know how to play just fast enough to get it done but not to over do it.

Our younger players can cover the backs of our older players. WHen the game slows down in crunchtime and in the playoffs that's when you need the experience and know how of vets like Kidd and Camby. This is very key to this teams chances next season.

Kinda sad to see Jorts go but w/ever. Good luck TD.

Lin/Kidd
JR Smith/Shump/James White
Melo/Novak
Amare/Jeffries
Chandler/Camby
BN:Balkman, Gadzuric

Hopefully we pick up another SG or Combo guard who can hit the 3.
And one more useful big man?

Some interesting lineup possibilities. I like

Kidd (dish)
Shump (D, finish on the break)
JR (SHOOT!)
Melo (Shoot!)
Camby (rebound, defend)

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please
