i've been wondering about melo. he's kind of a team chemistry killer. he's a total ballstopper and takes everyone out of the flow when he's hot.

knicks traded away something more important than young talent in the melo trade - they traded team chemistry. chemistry is so elusive and the knicks gave it away.

Exactly. i mean i dont understand why many of our fans get pissed when someone says that we didn't get the better of the trade. Look melo is one of the best offensive players i never doubted that. but he doesn't get others involved despite being a good passer, he doesn't defend, and he takes poor shots many times instead of working it to others

The same can be said about Kobe or Durant or any great offensive player (Not saying Melo is as good as Kobe). The Nuggs never looked this bad on offense and paid more attention on D and somehow managed to win 50 games every year when the West was clearly the best conference year in and year out...

Exactly, I don't see any plays being called. Zone, for a flash, but that's it.

Obviously the only problem tonight was the Knicks offense.

refs are mainly letting the knicks get away with some cheap fouls at the end. but i agree, i don't know why that intensity can't be there BEFORE they're down ten with 2 minutes to go.

i think it's because they THINK they can just show up, get their numbers and win.

because, hey, if nothing else, stat and melo got their numbers tonight.

nixluva - your loyalty is admirable but the perspective is tainted by the obvious issues.

Douglas is much too one-dimensional and selfish to be a starter responsible for setting the pace of team play. Carmelo gets frustrated and takes matters into his own hands, which only destroys any sense of sharing. It is not getting better before the truth pops the leadership upside the head.

It's not the losing. It is HOW they are playing. Win or lose.

Bobcats keep creating mismatch by using screens with ball and without ball. But Knicks just go one on one straightly without using screens, so it is relatively easy to defend.

It is all on the coach to have these guys prepared to know what to do on switches. To know how to defend the pick and roll better. We get exposed on the pick and roll. They are doing a ****ty job of showing and rotating.

Ya D'antoni deserves blame but look at miami. their coach is not great but those three stars they have despite being jerks have great skills on both sides of the court

They play great defense. If you watch them play defense, carefully, you can tell they have detailed practices or film sessions that emphasize thier roles. Watch how they play pick and roll and get out in the passing lanes. Watch how they halp and recover. Also, Coach Spo learned under Riles so I imagine he has been taught very well.

The nuggets had good defensive players to hide melos weakness. I'm not bashing melo i'm just being honets. I wanted melo but i wanted him via Fre agency this way our team wouldn't get screwed. i blame melo because he threatened to go to the nets even thouhg he wanted to be here. He could have done what bosh and lebron did but he wanted more money

This is not right, I don't care its early.

What is with the fake hustle at the end of the game? They let Diaw, Henderson and Mullens look like all stars. UNreal.

They need to look in the mirror and laugh at themselves.
