They were the two best pieces traded by far.

Aldridge wrote an article and mentioned how highly they think of Chandler. I have heard other reports about their fondness for Gallo. I think they realize that they did very well in this trade and they are going to give it a try with the guys they got for the rest of the season. They can trade either of these guys for picks before the draft so I think they are being smart again.

I love those guys but they could also lose their value quickly if they don't produce because they are not stars and have been inconsistent. I don't think it will happen but it is a possibility.

In his radio interview...

Donnie admitted Jim Dolan's involvement
Admitted friends consult owners
Admitted owners tell their workers what friend consulted
Admitted they wanted to wait
Admitted that was no longer an option
Admitted...

Not really sure what happened but this was a funny, I meant, difficult trade.

I will try to find a tiny local bar to celebrate tomorrow's monumentous occassion.

Had enough Melo?

JFC, some of you guys are brutal. Can we let things shake out before jumping off the GWB? Here's a news flash: It's hard to get all stars, which we now have. It's MUCH easier to get role players, which is what the Knicks need.
I remember people saying Boston wouldn't be anything special after making the garnett and allen deals because they had no role players or depth. Care to revisit that? Same people then said Miami would struggle for the same reasons. They are like 40-8 since a 8-7 start and will be a championsip contender for years.

The Knicks are not a finished product but the toughest pieces needed to compete are IN PLACE. They CAN and will find role players to round out this roster, just not overnight.

WTF, I got email from Knicks insider last night confirming details of the trade and did not know about this part until now:

"the right to exchange 2016 first-round draft selections and cash considerations to Denver"

Apparently, Denver can swap picks with us in 2016 if this is right (same option Houston has for this year). As much as I want to believe that Walsh was in the loop throughout all of this...I just don't see it

he was on the phone with Jim and Mike. i would have preferred all three in a meeting room for the biggest trade in franchise history but...

Walsh is playing the good soldier. I really respect that guy. He didn't deserve to be treated the way he has. The thing is that Dolan is his boss and he has the right to inject himself into any deal. Especially one with so much money on the line. As long as the final decisions are ones that benefit the team I have no problem with how Dolan handles his employees. We need Walsh tho cuz this thing isn't finished. I just hope Dolan doesn't push him out the door with his antics.
