Having skilled big on the team is essential to any run. Howard is hardly skilled. He is about as raw as the day he walked into the league. He is a defensive monster though I give him that. Offensively his game is a joke.

wait, so if Boston beats Orlando, too, was Lebron still tanking?

That idea that LeBron threw the series is a joke. Celtics were a superior team end of story. They should have won 4-1 even if they didn't blow that big lead in (game 2?)

The idiots want you to believe that the Cavs LOST but the fact of the matter is that the Celtics WON because they were a far superior team.

But, whatever.

I think people overreacted to how the last two games were played. And the whole Delonte West thing (IF True) certainly puts things in perspective. But Lebron was definitely off on both those games. But we shouldn't take anything away from Boston's effort especially Rondo's work.

The only way we're going to see Orlando vs. Phoenix in the NBA Finals anytime soon is via NBA 2K10.

can somebody explain to me why the hell the Suns and Lakers didnt play tonight? Sunday is the night where everybody is trying to chill and watch t.v. Why did Stern put the game on Monday when I gotta go to work and shyt and Im all tired!!!

it's pathetic. the suns/lakers are playing today and wednesday and then are off until sunday!!! 3 friggen days off. the scheduling is beyond deplorable

Then they took this upincoming wknd game off of ABC, and slap it on TNT and ESPN at 8:30pm..
What happen to Friday Evening, that would seem like the best time slot for every one

Now I know most people have basic (except for this chic im dating..and she wonders why she doesn't see me much) cable/sat..but im almost sure that ABC would get a larger audience

I get 'em all but I agree wholeheartedly. I know many are switching to OTA HDTV to save money. Have considered it myself.

To be fair, TNT's NBA coverage is greatly superior to ABC/ESPN's. Not even close, IMO.

Yea, TNT has the rights to the Western Conf. finals I believe. The scheduling is annoying, especially because I don't have TNT or ESPN. But I agree, TNT's coverage is a lot better: for the Suns-Lakers game Ernie could hardly talk with some sort of laryngitis, and Kenny, Charles & Reggie picked up the slack. Those guys are really funny and have a great chemistry. Reggie didn't even annoy me the other night as much as he usually does.

But if I have to watch another "Are We There Yet?" promo I think I might slit my wrist. But I did end up watching two episodes of Leverage (a/k/a Basic Cable Ocean's 11) after the game like a sucker.

Looks like Turner is getting rewarded: they announced that Turner is going to share coverage with CBS for next year's men's NCAA tourney. So looks like everyone will have their TV Guides open to see if any particular game will be on CBS, TNT, TBS, or TruTV(?!?). Thus continues the fracturing of the basketball watching public. Basketball isn't quite at hockey status, but kinda feels like it's heading there. I'm surprised if there are more than 10 NBA games on free TV -- mostly playoff games -- in the NYC Metro area next year. Do they even show Knicks or Nets games on ch. 9 or 11 anymore?
