my goal is to make things as hard on martin & Andrew as possible.

but all joking aside, since it's the same thing then why bother w/having an ignore button at all? see it can work both ways... in the end, it's up to each of us to police ourselves & not act like a turd when posting on these forums whether we have an ignore feature or not... that goes for everyone, not just the 1 or 2 posters that some of you guys singled out on this thread.

but again, i leave it up to the mods to decide... i'm just giving my 2 cents on the issue for whatever it's worth, same as u.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Good question. I think its a psychological thing. If a troll pops up he is craving attention or throwing insults left and right and baiting... the worst thing is to take the bait but the most powerful thing would be to ignore the guy right? And 9 times outta 10 you do. But sometimes you can't help yourself... so yes.. its a tool to police yourself. And in doing so, you're really controlling your own self. Me ignoring your post has absolutely zero impact on you TMS the poster. You don't even know that i'm ignoring you necessarily.

Peace will arrive in the valley.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

i think we should sticky this thread... it's the most fun i've had on this forum in weeks.

This thread has actually been very effective.

Apparently, I am incorrect on this one...

9 times outta 20???

That's straight out of the Isiah/Dolan School of Excellence.

If ignore is implemented, I would really want to see who the top 5 ignored members on ultimateknicks would be.

[Edited by - Silverfuel on 11-08-2007 4:44 PM]

I'm pretty confident that I wouldn't be on that top 5 list.

Only a complete moron wouldn't ignore me.

I'd probly end up ignoring more than half the ppl on this board, with the exception of Silver, MS, Isles, Beast, DJ, Marv, and a few others.

A year or two ago, people used to be more open-minded.

Now they're just all yuppedy and pouring sunshine out of their mouth.

There are plenty things in the world to be happy about; the Knicks probly shouldn't be 1 of them.

Must be an exodus from RealGM or something. Idk.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Sit down Francis.

Make no mistake, on this board I'm the Big Toe.

Nah. The NY Times did close down their forums, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with it.

the pro-ignorers almost had me convinced, why not just try it for a month? then I saw this:

You've got Papabear all riled up, and you just don't do that.

Ignore might make this place a little nicer.

I had been ignoring this thread for the last week or so.
Seeing it grow to 14 pages (!) I decided I should see what's going on.
However, I was right, and this thread will again be ignored.

He was here all along. Watching. Stalking. Waiting for his moment to pounce. That moment almost appeared after the Minnesota game but made a true appearance sometime after the Denver game.
