as good of a talent evaluator Isiah is since he never made a bad pick. I think he limited himself to only players he worked out. I'm pretty disappointed although I like Nate. I'm hoping we have a masterplan in place that includes trading for Elton Brand because thats pretty much the only way we'll be a legitimate playoff team.

Martynas to the Magic at 44, very nice pick

I do like one thing about these picks Isiah made, we are a hell of a lot more athletic. Still, not too crazy about this draft.

BTW Blatche just went at pick 49 to the Wizards.

I grade this draft a C-. I dont like the David Lee pick but well just have to see how he turns out. But I dont think Zeke should of trade the 54th pick.

I'll give Isiah a pass on Frye.
And I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with Lee.
But I'm really disappointed with the 21 pick.
WHY pick 5'7" Robinson when Green, Granger, Petro were available?!

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

lemme guess, you haven't seen Lee play, am I right? He's going to be very very very active. He's a Chris Andersen type with a higher bball IQ.

Now that I've had time to let reality settle in, I'm actually happy about having Nate at 21, even though Wayne Simien was still available. I REALLY would have loved to have both players, but I guess Isiah REALLY REALLY thought that Nate wouldn't have been there, so if that's the case, I can't blame him for this. I don't really know much about David Lee, but from what I am hearing, he can only help us, b/c he seems to be one of those guys tough dudes with some athleticism. He could be nice for us on the defense and boards.

I am very dissapointed with the Frye pick though for obvious reasons. Lets not get into that discussion though. It's over. We have Frye. I'm gonna be rooting hard for him, just as much as anyone.

If you can name yourself Allanfan, that means you don't know too much about talent....Let me guess, you probably wanted the unproven Bynum? Look at it this way, all of the players that Isiah picked have proved that they were worthy and even exceed expectations...Isiah did his homework and it will all payoff. I can't wait to see what our starting lineup will be.

Allan HOuston wasn't talented? Dido, c'mon, you already lost any point you're trying to make after a comment like that.

just remember that the goal is to make the playoffs and make Dolan money. If it was winning a championship we would've had the 6th best chance at Bogut like Milwaukee had and he would've been our centerpiece for yrs to come.

Honestly I don't see how we can improve this team and take it to the next level. Who's going to trade the star frontcourt player we need for Marbury & Crawford?!

Just being a shooter doesn't mean that you are talented. His only talent was shooting the ball...He didn't do anything else on the court. He couldn't guard his position, can't handle the ball, can't rebound, etc...

Dido you are the last guy to tell anybody about not knowing about basketball.

You base your posts on bad luck!!!

Lee looks like a good pick, I was mad when they took over all the 7 footers still there, but after reading up and watching some highlights of him, he looks like a great energy big to come of the bench, kinda like Chris Anderson with much more skills or a poor man's Camby who has some touch.

I mean what does Lee have that Collison doesnt and that guy was picked 9th.

As for Nate, I'm too partial. I loved him in college, and he is def better then Boykins as he can shoot, is just as strong, and has much bigger ups. I dunno, he is very small, but he will win the dunk contest, and he will be another great energy bench player who can change the game.

This team was very low on energy last year, downright lethargic most of the time. Now if the starters are loafing around, we can unleash Lee, Nate, Ariza and JYD out there w/ any one scorer and pump up the team.

I think everybody would agree we had a lot of talent last year, but no team. Now we picked some glue guys who can make it all work, IF WE GET A GOOD COACH!
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
