Well I was at the game last night, sat in the RF bleachers and it was my first game at the new stadium.

My impressions:
- The stadium is absolutely gorgeous, everything is made with comfort in mind which is amazing.
- The fact that you can see the game from anywhere is pretty damn neat, you never miss a pitch
- the food was awesome, the garlic fries are amazing.

In the end I believe this place gives fans absolutely no reason to sit in their seat, which to me is a big problem because theres no juice ever. There is absolutely no home-field advantage with this place because people are just walking around or standing and watching the game. Maybe in a few years that will wear off, but I'm not sure, theres really so much more to do than just watch a baseball game at this place, which is a problem to me.

stadium is great. you're right, you never have to sit down. i've been there 3 times so far and have yet to sit in my paid seat. buy the cheapest ticket you can and just get in the building.

It could very well be a case of history repeating itself. Rivera started out as a starter, but was then moved to set-up man to John Wetteland after he picked up 5-6mph on his fast ball throwing 95-96mph. Joba looks like the most likely candidate to shoulder the load for the future if he can regain his 98mph fastball. It could be time to move Rivera to the 8th, he's not getting any younger.

Luck is clearly not the *only* factor in being a GM. But luck plays a big role in just about any major, uncertain aspect of life--in sports, that includes as a player, ref, coach, GM, owner. That doesn't mean people don't or shouldn't get held accountable when they come up short. If something is determined 100% by luck--like what your fortune cookie says--or even close to 100%, then and only then can you use the "luck excuse."

It's insulting and simply wrong to make up false beliefs about critics and then to tell them they need a reality check because of the false beliefs you are attributing to them.

feel free correct me where i'm wrong... i believe u were the one to say that Cashman should be held accountable for not having a contingency plan in place last year & this year after key players went down to injury... if CMW were healthy last year we don't have to rely on guys like Ian Kennedy & Alfredo Aceves to be making fill in starts... if CMW were healthy this year we don't have to rely on Hughes now... our bench players are playing because ARod's been out all year & Jorge just went down to injury... last year Matsui & Jorge went down to injury, 2 key players in our lineup... what kinda contingency plan did u expect Cashman to have in place for guys like that to go down to injury? u expecting us to have stars on the bench ready to fill in whenever needed? that's not realistic, i'm sorry... yes, i believe u need a full reality check... that's not an insult, it's an observation... if u think we win championships in the dynasty years if guys like Paulie, Jeter, Tino, Cone, El Duque, etc. go down to a longterm injury you're not thinking in realistic terms.

Man, we've been through this. We had a list of outfield and DH options. We started the conversation when one of us--I forget if you or I did first--mentioned the name Ken Griffey Jr. (Remember now? It really wasn't that long ago.) As to the prior year, You can't go into a season with 40% of the rotation being rookie question marks. Writing in Kennedy as your starter every fifth game when you've seen him throw a total of 3 mlb games is just unimaginably dumb. Maybe if we were on a 40 mil team payroll budget that would have made sense. That said, if you were going to stick to that plan, you needed to get at least one mid reliever at the Remiro Mendoza level.

dude, have u checked what Jr's stats look like this year? he's been HORRIBLE!... Melky's putting up way better numbers... yeah, i suggested him and & i suggested Andruw Jones too... Andruw's had a nice bounceback year so far, but guess what? Melky's outplaying both those guys.

great performance outta CC tonight... let's hope this is a sign of things to come for him... his velocity has been improving the past few games & today he finally pitched an absolute gem when we really needed it... 4 hit CG shutout, 1 walk, 8 K's... that's the type of dominant performance we've all been waiting for.

Agreed; that's why we both decided there were better options available--options Cashman was blind to. Melky's been better? So what? We have no backup outfielder now. Damon's an old man who can't field and we're depending on him to stay healthy and never need rest. That's a mistake but it pales in comparison to the stupidity of Cashman's handling of the starting rotation last year and bullpen this year.

LOL... so it's Cashman's fault that we don't have an able 5th reserve OFer on the bench to backup Melky? hahaha... this is getting funnier by the moment... Brett Gardner's no hitting star but he can defend all 3 OF positions... he's as good as any team has on their bench as a 5th OFer... Cashman didn't exactly expect Nady to be injured this year either... he made a very smart trade to bring in Nick Swisher, but of course he doesn't get any credit for such moves... the bullpen on paper looked to be very good to start off the season but then Bruney gets injured, Marte gets injured, Mo gives up a few shocking late inning HR's & blows some saves & things go downhill from there... u gonna blame Cashman for all these things? get real.

Isn't he traditionally a slow starter? He is right on track to start pitching some good games. I think the Yanks will pick it up from here, good to see A Rod back even with all the drama, I still like him and that homer was great.

if last year was any indication, we can expect to see more of these types of games outta CC this year... he absolutely dominated the NL in the 2nd half of the season & carried the Brewers into the postseason... i don't think he'll be the 1.65 ERA ace in the AL that he was in the NL last year, but i do expect his ERA to go down to the low 3 range & win at least a good 17 games for us this season... i don't think that's unreasonable barring any injuries w/him.
