Gotta +1 it. The data coming in backs you up. 33% of Latino men went Trump they saying on PBS.

What do you think is the reasoning behind that?

Trump voters didn't vote for him on logical grounds, it was an emotional decision because he resonated them emotionally

That simplifies things a bit much. Both reason and emotion can be false. I think many, not just latino's, are just sick of the system, sick of globalization and tax cuts that benefit companies and not people.

Understand something, Trump won, despite "polls" showing he was losing the whole time, at least MSM polls (that brings up other issues). The psychological influence of saying "you are losing" is a strong one. To overcome that and MSM is amazing.

Some real work begins though, even with Trump in, corruption is going to try to hold on.

Remember W Bush had a lot of Latino support. He got that vote, maybe not the exact psychographic group, but. She was a bad candidate. Obama was only good enough to get himself elected, used all his juice on Obamacare, and November open enrollment same time, rates bump up... Wikileaks... man.

I think there is going to be a big climb uphill now. Corruption is on notice and they have a few weapons up their sleeve, perhaps the economy (but I hope not).

Any word on about when things are official?

I would bet nothing official until the morning. I think in certain states there's an automatic recount if the final tally is some where under a .5% lead. But in reality it's a wrap.

Also 538 is a wrap as an election forecaster.

What do you mean a wrap? Like it's over and useless?
538 acknowledged more of a possibility than the other sites that the polling might be off. They were also giving over a 10% chance that Clinton would win the popular vote but lose the electoral vote, and that might happen once CA is counted.

everyone has a right to vote for who they want. I voted for trump but i wouldnt criticize anybody voting for hilary. This definetly was unexpected. I knew it was gonna be tight but there have been many twists today
You're right, everybody has a right to vote for who they want but I would definitely criticize anybody voting for Trump. I still see absolutely no redeeming quality to this guy that even remotely hints that he would make even a semi-competent president. I totally get people not liking Clinton. Heck, I don't like her either, but its like saying the Jets suck so I'm voting for the Cleveland Browns.

and this is the problem. nobody gives a **** about what you think. vote for who you want and let others vote for who they want to. who are you? you have no right and i mean NO RIGHT, to tell anyone who and what to vote for. what a joke.

Tell me when I told anybody who to vote for. Read versus react emotionally.

You're right, everybody has a right to vote for who they want but I would definitely criticize anybody voting for Trump.

oh ok, so you didn't TELL anybody who to vote for but you'll play the holier than thou card and just "criticize" them for voting for trump, since there's a huge difference.

yeah i agree with you. He was basically saying im crazy for voting for trump. I admit im not even a trump fan but i feel its the only choice
If you had voted for any other republican candidate and he/she won, I would just tip my hat and say congrats. Trump is a different animal.
i understand your opinion of Trump and i probably agree with some of it BUT calling my decision stupid doesnt exactly make me feel to good especially since i dont consider myself a stupid person
Very smart people make bad (and even stupid) decisions. I'm a democrat and feel we made a stupid decision nominating Clinton.

So all my life when I voted democrat including foolishly for Obama I was a genius. This year because I switched my allegiance and voted Trump I'm stupid. Got it. Very sound and tolerant reasoning

What you're not getting is this isn't about democrat/republican. This is about a single candidate. Again, if you voted for Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, I'm sure I wouldn't be having this discussion with you.

if Trump didnt throw his hat in the ring i would've voted Rubio and he would've never won. Lack of experience and the way the country was headed I didn't see another Republican and career politician ever winning again.

Sorry Holfresh, just woke up and I just jumped to the newest page.

All I was saying is that we need to bring down care costs before a social medical system will work. I like the idea as it works great in Germany. If costs are 2X or more, and meds are 3X or who knows how much more in America than other places, it will bankrupt the country (possibly). It will be a corporate subsidized medical system. We need to look to make costs reasonable.

For a while I had no health care, wasn't fun, I can relate.

When you say "embrace" what does that mean?

They are all crooks..America looks up to those in the White House..Trump will change all that..And the reason that is good, we think people in Washington have our best interest in mind..They don't...

So are you saying Trump is just going to be openly corrupt and just dismiss the pretense that anyone in the white house cares about the people they're suppose to represent? Just trying to understand what you're saying.

Preposterous and the kind of post that gets ridiculed and deleted if I wrote it about Hillary. Not based on anything factual just emotion

Cost would have come down if the republican congress has skin in the game...They didn't want 20 million people getting health care..Republican governors denied it in their states as more people could have been cover..They want to repeal it and probably will..So no healthcare may be their option..I'm baffled at those who complained about coverage cost when they had none before..

Well yeah..That's what America has elected..This dude walked in on 15 year old girls for the purpose of seeing them naked and America didn't care..

because America re-established my faith that we care about the important things that made us who we are. And are the reasons why the entire world wants to be here. Thankfully becoming an American will become honorable again. People eager to plead their love and admiration for our country.

Not come here, tell us how much you hate us, milk us dry and then head back to their palace, built on our dime while giving us the finger on the way out

I really hope not. But considering that corruption in on notice and that the banking system is in the shizzer, economy is not so good, do "they" try to bring things down a bit?

I feel relief. I know the worst can still happen, I just hope this decision lessened the chance of war.
