Juan Miranda is a guy that is a decent guy off the bench. We need some power off the bench for sure.

BTW, I really hate this bullpen. Aceves was very good tonight but Edwar Ramirez? Bleh.

i know there's really no such thing as a must win in May, but i gotta say tomorrow night's game is a game we gotta win... gotta send a message to this Sux team that the Yankees have a damn pulse this year! gotta have 1 of our young kids show that they can come up big againt Boston for once... Joba really needs to give us at least 6 strong tomorrow night, hopefully a full 7... Beckett's struggling this year but something tells me he's gonna be lights out & practically unhittable tomorrow night all of a sudden... typical pattern of how things have been going between these 2 teams of late.

Jorge w/tightness in his hamstring... getting an MRI tomorrow & won't be available to play... hope this is nothing serious... if Jorge's out for any length of time this team is severely hamstrung (excuse the pun)

better call up Cervelli... can't be stuck w/1 C tomorrow night in a game vs. BOS.

Papelbon's just a douchebag. Really amped up the celebration tonight after he struck out Robbie. That together with all his "I'm better than Mariano" horse**** last year, this guy's a clown as far as I'm concerned. Loved it when he got his ass booed in the all-star game at the old Stadium last year. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!! Hey whatever man - the guy's good and he got us tonight but I never want to hear anyone say anything about Joba yelling and getting amped up after a strikeout again, know what I mean? i totally feel u bro... i don't have much of a problem w/the theatrics but i can't stand when i hear the Red Sux players having the nerve to criticize Joba for his fist pump & "Yeah babies"... so hypocritical! i'm not sure his name but there's another closer in the NL that's also very theatrical after he notches the final out of a game... is it Jose Valverde? not quite sure... K-Rod's definitely the most over the top w/his after final out theatrics... bottomline, if we don't wanna see Papsmear doing it we need to hit the guy & score runs on him... personally i hope Joba goes back to his rookie season ways... after he started toning himself down to appease the critics, he lost some of his edge IMHO... i just want Joba to go out there & be himself... if those other guys are gonna do the theatrics on the mound why can't he?

was at the game last night. man am i beat.

anyways, listen...the redsox have the mental advantage over us. it's clear as day. but that's still OK. minus the redsox games, we went 3-0 before the sweep and 4-2 after the sweep. that makes 7-2 minus the sox. what that means is that we have to continue beating teams at a high clip in the event we don't do well against boston this year.
