This is the correct analysis !

Brunson hogged the ball. KAT was an afterthought.

I’ll also add we had like 5 ridiculously bad, out-of-character unforced turnovers. We need to put this in the past and refocus

Fuck that, we were up 7 at half and the refs put us in the penalty with 10 min left 22+ ft to 8ft in the second half that’s the game and we still had a chance to win .!refs handed the spurs this game on a silver plater

What’s 22 ft to 8 ft mean? I agree we were hosed by refs in that stretch especially w all the mugging we were getting

Never mind. Free throws. I thought you were saying feet

When was the last time Brunson hat to sit for early foul trouble? But suddenly if the finals are about to go 3-0, he's out?

One of our biggest reasons we went on our run was less ball pounding and more ball movement.

Gotta win the next game… really think the refs did what they did on purpose to extend the series… again up 7 at half with all the momentum and we get in the penalty with. 10 min to go in the third … they get up because of fts… and we couldn’t recover .

Gotta involve towns more he was a ghost in the second half of this game .

What a shame OG had the best game out of any player on the court tonight .

I dunno. I agreed w one of the other posters that his sitting was a potential blessing. We’ve gone on some runs when he sits because the ball moves better.

I love the guy but he was pressing a bit too much hero ball

Also wasted a night when hart was shooting well. We need to play through KAT. Good things happen

Yeah free throws .

I’m disgusted the refs did there job to extend the series … without that help we win this game. We had all the momentum going into the second half and we got mugged by the refs and how they allowed them to play us.

It’s not fair when they can play that way but when we do it’s a foul…

I’m not happy .

Gotta win the next game … gotta not allow the refs to control the outcome. We let off the gas in the second half and they took advantage.

Ball pounding is not the answer gotta keep the ball moving. Bridges sat too long and Shamet played too long when he didn’t have it tonight…

Thank god the president isn’t going to the next game . That distraction is over .

We can blame the refs. I’d blame the unforced turnovers. We know the refs are unfair. They need to play better

For sure the reffing seems to have hurt us this whole series. We’re due for a break. Mark Davis usually does a better job. He has that emotionless stare but will hear the players nd coaches out which usually reduces risks of meltdowns. But tonight they were all over the place.

That said we were extremely sloppy w the ball too. Not just the crazy turnovers but lots of butter fingers and there were a few other flubs we were lucky didn’t turn into easy fast breaks.

Just checked team stats. For sure biggest issues (1) points conceded off turnovers ( which doesn’t account four our sloppy turnovers that just gave up possession) and FT discrepancy ( which would have been smaller if they did hack a Mitch)

Turns out my new shirt wasn't lucky. Blueknicks didn't post enough power-forward built women either. I think he's more to blame than anything, lol

My hot take. Was lucky to attend.

1) Mikal got two early fouls. Once he was benched the guards got to the rim at will.

2) Shamet plays with ferocity but just couldn’t shoot for a lick tonight.

3) Brunson showed signs of breaking his slump. But those 5 turnovers are costly.

4) KAT needs to be more involved.

5) The Spurs are getting away with a lot of nonsense. NBA should be ashamed. You can let the men play. Just call it straight.

6) When the Spurs got called on fouls, it was generally after the Knicks got past their defender and an off ball call. Not all fouls are equal.

7) Browns use of the challenge was ACES this game.

8) I am prepare to get my heartbroken. But this game was a sham. You can’t have one guy that can toss players to the ground with no call and another get a flagrant for landing 18 inches away “recklessly”. One team can steamroll the other and the steamrolled player gets the foul? It’s nonsensical.

We need to regroup and we need to play through KAT. I know wemby is dpoy but he’s far better as a help defender than on ball. KAT and OG have been blowing by him and he can’t sag too much because they can shoot

Agreed to much Brunson pounding the ball like thibs was the coach ..,

We are at our best when the ball is moving .

OG is the only one who has figured out where his food is coming from. Himself. We're no longer in sync on offense.

That was sh!tty basketball. It was only close because we are talented, but when it comes to effort and fight they were the better team tonight.

We did not protect the ball. We threw away the ball a dozen times, some of which wasn't even due to Spurs pressuring us. Just mentally absent ball much of the evening. Not that impressed tonight.

Even though the score was close, I felt the gap was much wider in terms of the Spurs tempo and exerting their will on the game.
