Really nice thread on Thibs being prepared and making adjustments to counter the Pascual/Hart matchup since we are going small.

Biggest difference yesterday was playing in front of a jacked up Garden. Knicks feed off the energy and make every hustle play while Pacers get she'll shocked.

I checked out New York to Indianapolis flights yesterday. Flights landing before the game were at $800, after the game $300 roundtrip. Part of me thinks there will be a big NY crowd going to the game. Considering the price for Garden tickets, it's a pretty good deal for the super fans. A vocal 1-2 thousand fans on the road can have a huge impact.

Did anybody else think that was Burks' hand pushing Jackson? I did.

I give Jackson some credit here. If some dude puts his hand on my throat, I'm seeing red and breaking that ****ing hand.

LOL. I was just showing this to my wife. We thought it was funny that Burks would have popped Jackson while hiding behind Hartenstein.

It was like a magic trick. The announcers kept saying it was Burks' hand... so we believed it was his hand. :)
After watching this, I had to check for a full recording of this to make sure this post wasn't altered.

Burks has a bone to pick about this T. If he ends up amassing T's at a fast rate the rest of the way and gets suspended during the finals, we'll look back at this cheapie as a critical moment.

He has a good argument to have this one rescinded if they appeal to the league.

I have to say, on top of his recent contributions, when I saw what looked like the most nonchalant hand to the throat I was thinking Burks had become a badass overnight. And that he was simultaneously securing a contract for next season.

I actually hope to see both of these guys on the roster next season.

Me too. Seeing Burks, Bogey, Mitch healthy and playing off bench would be just fine for me.

Honestly if OG gets healthy for next round you could argue pretty easily that the team with this version of Burks and Precious is better than the rotation that started the playoffs with Bogie and Mitch.

All those injuries later we might end up stronger IF we can get OG right.

I totally agree with you. Like you said it totally depends on OG coming back with no setbacks or lingering problems. We need him to cancel ones off their 2 wings. If KP is still out I think we have a good shot to advnce.

KP has cooked us all year and it's b/c our bigs simply cannot guard him 25 feet out. So Precious is definitely a better option at backup C if KP plays next round. KP is the x factor, if he plays next round BOS is really going to be tough to beat. His floor spacing 27 feet out just really spreads their offense, his AVERAGE made 3 distance was 27 feet this year which is just bonkers, he stretches the floor almost to half court for them. Not to beat a dead horse but I always felt BOS would win the chip when they got KP for peanuts. Should have been us.

But if he's out and OG is in, I think it could be a close series.

Besides the little detail of actually needing to win one more game, one has to consider hammy injuries often return without prolonged rest.
Same for KP and his injury.

I hope we close it out in 6 and OG gets a few more days rest. If he is able to go you do so for game 7. Everything on the table for game 7!!!

Celtics with great luxury to have Horford step in for KP.

Actually my theory was the fart was from Thibs. Really lit up the team. What a great coaching adjustment.

Yea I’m not delusional about our chances vs Boston. We have had good practice against stretch 5s though. How much better can KP shoot versus how Turner shoots right now?

I dont think its even about the actual 3 more so the threat of the 3 and the spacing it creates for their other scorers.

We haven't really made guarding Turner behind the 3pt line a big priority.

I would hard disagree on that statement. Turner has burnt us all season and has been lights out all playoffs.

He's absolutely burned us the past 2 games, but we're not guarding him 25-30 feet out with urgency was my point. With KP you gotta do that and it just creates a ton of space for BOS.

But even then, the first 3 games he was 4 for 13 from 3. It hasn't been a big factor outside of those 3 straight three's he hit last game.

i thought it was Burks at the time

Jackson is a girly-man. iHart would squash him like a little girl whether Jackson was seeing red or not. iHart and Jackson both know this now

we may not be able to stop KP at the 3 IF HE PLAYS. But we can punish them on the boards -- the downside of a stretch 5
