![]() Using both picks to trade up ahead of Miami for Silva is probably the best route to go when all said and done.
#24, #25 & #38 to Portland for #14 & #34. This is probably the perfect situation for a Silva to be an understudy for OG & Bojan for both sides of the ball. Can't think of the time the Knicks every actually traded up for a prospect though. Usually are very scared to do things like that. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

Man Portland got #7, #14 and lots and lots of players on their roster that need playing time. Something has to give over there. Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program

Considered this with the idea that they would look to package multiple assets for a proven contributor all together. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

Would depend on if they feel for one they could get a similar prospect at 24 than 14 while also adding #25. Mostly believe they would be looking to package for a proven player anyway and having the #24 & #25 helps them more with that attempt? https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

This draft is all over the place. I'm not a big Silva guy because I think he's soft, but a guy like that could go just outside the lottery or drop to the late first round. The fact that the second round will take place on the day after also mucks things up. Will a staff have the same energy for a player on day 2 that they had on day 1 now that they had time to think? The Knicks have tried to trade up in past drafts, but just haven't been successful. I don't think 24 and 25 is enough to get 14. The Knicks were in a similar situation a few years ago when they tried to trade up for Duarte. Duarte went 13 and the Knicks had picks 19 and 21. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

They got Ayton, Grant Williams, Jerami Grant, Simons, Brogdon, Thybulle. Yutes you got Sharpe, Scoot, #7, Kris Murray and others. No clue on what direction they are heading. ![]() Apparently Givony (ESPN) being quoted that Knicks are exploring trades for 24/25 to extend window of current roster.
I guess this could be interpreted a number of ways but my initial reaction was they are looking to package picks for vet that fits with roster and can help now. I have been wondering could we package Mitch and maybe a pick or 2 for a vet or to move up for a specific player we like in the draft. |

Silvia’s frame at an advanced draft age (24) does appear a bit thun and his game based on limited clips I’ve seen does seem to be very finesse with not so much explosiveness. |
