Where I thought the Knicks missed Melo the most tonight was at the foul line. There were some questionable-to-flat-out-ridiculous calls on the Knicks down the stretch (DURANT/KMART, for instance) that would have been negated to some degree by how Melo has been getting to the line of late.
But, Woodson remained his predictable self tonight. Terrible starting lineup, fool's gold iso-ball.
I suppose for JR this was a 'good' night. His selfish chucking and total focus on finding his own shot, often times dribbling up court and not bothering to pass the ball even once to his teammates before launching a jumper, paid off most of the night b/c several shots went down. But the last 7.9 seconds went exactly as I knew it would. I called it to a friend I was watching the game with, down to the letter.
I'm disappointed b/c OKC didn't play well and were bailed out by the refs (IMO) and the Knicks could have taken this game had they played smarter and more unselfishly.
Oh well. It's on to the Jazz on Sat.
