IMO the Knicks already proved they could win without Melo. I'm glad that he's finally pitching in on D, but really the team has a better record without him and even stat wise they play better without him. My main reason for wanting Melo was his crunchtime shot making, not his middle of the game effectiveness. He's always been a very inefficient scorer. What you hope is that he does the little things like he's doing now so the team isn't hurt by his lack of D and inefficient scoring. That's been the good thing so far is that he's really fighting hard on D now. I hope it continues.

What have the Knicks won?

What has Melo won?

All the hate has become tiresome...Start a hate tread and post there...It's old..

Are you suggesting I hate Melo or you hate the Knicks?
If you don't like my posts don't read them.

I think you hate that the Knicks are winning without your coach.

This is borderline trollish. I have not seen one indication that Lowey is upset the team is winning or has ever been happy when the team loses. Where's your evidence?

I believe it was Lowey that posted that the Knicks class left when D'Antoni resigned. Every post I have read of his since the coaching change has been negative and critical. Are you joking or serious in regards to your post?

Crush, when MDA was here every post I read of yours was negative and critical for months if not years. I didn't suggest you were rooting against the Knicks. If you read through the game threads instead of making **** up you will find plenty of positive and supportive posts as well. You wanna attack me personally fine, that's all you got?

I had to watch the game streaming tonight so I was not a part of the game thread but the first two games in the Woodson era I seem to remember a lot of negativity. A three game win streak is a big deal for this team and I haven't seen any of your positive posts. My impression from what I have read of the posts of yours since the coaching change is that you are very much against the direction the team has taken despite their recent success. Obviously you are on this forum and participating so you I apologize if I implied that you want the team to lose.

Implied? No!! You said it directly that I hate the Knicks are winning. Just scroll up and read. You read the game thread and you thought I was being negative? OK- whatever you say. I have nothing further to say to you. You are entitled to your opinion, such as it is. Good night.

I actually didn't read tonights game thread. I live upstate and the Sabres bump the Knicks on TWC. I was on the phone with TWC and in their chat room for the first three quarters of the game because MSG had a banner saying what channel you could watch the Sabres on instead of broadcasting the Knicks. My focus was TWC which I have decided I am done with. The game threads I am talking about were the blazers and Pacers at home.

Nice win..Really nice ..Important why? we knew Indy would play hard because they think they are better...We took their confidence..Love the way we looked more focused on defense...Good all around game by Lin, impressive rebounding..Slowing the pace has helped with turnovers...I hope this is our team going forward..we still have kinks to work out tho..Nice win..confidence builder..

i think guys here need to let their hang-ups about MDA either way just go and enjoy this team. you are missing out if you don't just sit back and enjoy this. i was upset to see MDA go in the way it happened. i liked the guy. but the team is clearly playing a better, more well-rounded and playoffs-tested style of basketball under mike woodson.

just embrace it and enjoy the season. too many guys seem to get caught up in proving themselves right or wrong. i didn't want to see MDA go and i can admit i was wrong and just enjoy the sh!t out of these wins. i hope everyone else can do the same and the arguing is just about the message board. because it would be a shame not to enjoy the best team we've had here in a while. like, the best team we've had in ten years.

I know i'm enjoying the wins. I think most everyone is. That is a different deal from still not being happy about Melo and his antics or responding to the MDA Haterz constant digs and kicking the guy after he's gone. The Knicks are playing great and Woody is doing a great job. There's nothing to really be negative about at this point in the season with the team finally playing like it should. I can enjoy the games and still argue about the truth of what is going on rather than just allow guys to spin the MDA situation into something it's not. MDA did the right thing leaving when he did. This team has a fresh start and Woody is fitting the situation like a glove. I hope we ride this like 99 only win it all this time.

We can't argue about a very convincing three game win streak. Let's let the personal stuff go and enjoy the fact that our team is playing good basketball. Let's start fresh and give Woodson a chance to show what he can do.

Screaming A. Smith is going to find something to yell about and he's going to do all his yelling toward Lin.

I think most people don't have hangups about MDA. But there are a handful of people who can't help getting their petty little digs in and try to make the conversation about MDA.

The only time I ever mentioned MDA during the game was to agree with whoever said Woodson was doing a better job at substitutions and that was helping us to stay in the lead. Last game Pacers @ MSG, I posted about how good our defense was and the first unit playing better D. For this I was attacked by some agenda driven troll for hating that the Knicks are winning without MDA.

I can't be responsible for people with years of unresolved bitterness trying to inject MDA into every conversation. It's ****ing ridiculous.

I don't think those people are caught up in proving they were right or wrong. I think they were extremely frustrated watching the team the past 4yrs screaming for a new approach, a new voice & new coaching philosophy and nothing changed until 20 games left in the 4th season. Frustrated watching the team go on ridiculously long losing streaks time and time again. Frustrated being virtually last in the league defensively year after year and missing the playoffs and getting swept when we finally did.
