All articles from the Minn side say no pick was included.

There's no -- I repeat NO -- first-round pick included by the Wolves in this deal, which David Kahn made clear when he called that ESPN from a couple weeks ago (Brewer and a No. 1 for Randolph) "overstated."

I had posted this in the Brewer thread, but SI is reporting that we received a 2nd rounder from the T-Wolves.

I'd still like to see it confirmed somewhere else as well, but I'll gladly take the 2nd.

Like @KnicksFanBlog just noted, the Knicks got a first round pick in the deal, as confirmed by @JoeandEvan.

If this is true then I am assuming it is not this years 1st round pick from Minny. Cause if it is then this 3 team trade just became REALLY easy to take.

felton for billups is a wash

if you filter through all the garbage that was in the deal... it is essentially gallinari + 2014 first rounder for melo. gallo would have been nice as a trade chip and bench scoring but really not an essential piece once melo came on board.

How about Mosgov? How about Chandler? You can't not include Chandler, because if we don't trade for Melo, we resign Chandler.
So its Gallo, Chandler, Mosgov + 2014 pick for Melo + lots of extra salary.

While I was enamored by the growth and potential of Mozgov, objectively he's a 24 year old center that was never heavily scouted or recruited... and in his half-year in the NBA he's been posterized, manhandled, has looked out of place on the floor that he was relegated to the bench for a long time. Overall, he's had at most *3* good games this season.

What type of upside were we looking for that made him untouchable in Knicks fans eyes? (At least Gallo had theoretically A-level shooting, off the charts BBall IQ, and efficiency as his standout qualities)

In the end, we turned a mid-lottery pick (Gallo), a late first rounder (Chandler), an undrafted FA (Mozgov), and another pick in the 20s (2014)for a proven #3 overall draft pick.

The good news is that Gallo is reunited with his good pal Al Harrington again... maybe they can have more buddy moments... and Gallo can sing more Beyonce.

Not untouchable, just on the other side of a line drawn in the sand. IOW, okay, give up Moz, but then keep AR, Gallo, Fields or the draft pick. But Moz on top of everything else? No, too much.

if you draw the line in the sand... the line should've been drawn at gallo.

not doing a trade because of mozgov is like not throwing in hasheem thabeet.

The only thing that lightened my mood was Donnie's veiled shot at Isiah.

Donnie says he figures Isiah is busy preparing for the NCAA Tournament. Zing

via Isola's Twitter.

You can tell he is angry with him but has too much class to call him and Dolan out.

that's particularly awesome because Isiah's team has a horrible record and will be nowhere the NCAA tournament.

i'm glad Walsh is putting up a fight. I want him here. Isiah can advise Dolan all he wants, but I hope Dolan realizes that Walsh is the reason we had the goods necessary to get Melo.

What difference does it make now where people were picked? That's the past. It only matters what they're worth today, and what you think they'll be worth in the future.
By your logic, we should trade Amare and Melo for Okafor.

Thanks for posting. When you get there, you have to click the "Van Gundy On How Good The Knicks Can Be" link to hear the extensive interview with JVG. His basic point seems to be that Carmelo Anthony is a unique talent; the guys we traded are replaceable. Then again, what does this guy know about basketball?

Ball jones. Are you happy? Yeah!

They mentioned Gallo first as key in the players they received. Next was The Mayor.
