Someone brought up a very good point I hadn't thought of. You guys keep saying "just ignore them without having an ignore feature" but how would ignoring someone without the "feature" be any different then having an ignore feature?

if the list of offensive words could be expanded, we could cut out some of the profanity laced tirades, which may help w/some of the complaints that certain posters have about this forum... another option is to include a "report this entry to the mods" function, which might help cut down on some of the intentionally trolling type posts that others have a complaint about also... if a certain poster gets reported enough times, i'm sure martin or Andrew could take appropriate action from there on out... i agree w/u that certain posts are just meant to get under someone's skin & that's a shame... it's not only isles that does this, so i don't see why people are singling him out here... i've seen more baiting & insults thrown around by some of the so-called "Lovers" around here than anyone else... how come those posters never get called out for it but islesfan does? just because he doesn't like Isiah or what has happened to this team ever since he took over? that's ridiculous.

I think that It dosen't matter who is being ignored. I think that everyone will think before they post and if we stick to the facts and talk about the games. Hey lets debate. When we get the ignore button I'm not going to single out anyone at first. This will be a new begining for all of us. I want to here from someone who have another point of view. I don't understand your premise here. How can the ignore feature be abused to gang up on others? If anything if you ignore people you don't even have to worry about responding so it would help avoid problems. Also, ignoring people is in no way a cop out. And ignoring someone through the ignore feature is the same as ignoring someone without the feature. its the same thing.

There is already a feature like that. Its called info@ultimateknicks.com and it makes their job so much harder. They will have to read pages of a thread to make sure they can put a post in perspective and decide whether its an insult or a legit comeback. When you add someone you find offensive to the ignore list, you don't even have to worry about them so you will never make it worse for martin and andrew.
